Hello everyone. This is my first post here. I've been looking for a mini 4x4 dump truck for a while. It'll mainly be used for hunting and cleanup on my hunting property. I missed a good deal a while ago and haven't had much luck finding these little trucks for a reasonable price. I hope this site will give me more information and some new leads.

So there are a couple of dealers in neighboring states that can help you out. I got my van from https://mayberryminitrucks.com here in Mt Airy NC. They can provide a NC title to go with it. Theres also Duncan Imports in VA and in TN. Both very reputable dealers. There may be more closer to you, get on google and look around. Mayberry has a huge stock of trucks right now and they seem to run around 5K in price.

If you didnt knew already there are 2 types of dump trucks. Light dump and heavy dump. Light dump is basically the same bed as a regular truck with a dump mechanism added. Heavy dump is a totally different bed design. The structure is thicker steel and the tailgate can be hinged from the top with a clever mechanism that release the bottom so you can dump the load without having to go open the tailgate. The load rating is still the same on both versions.

I've checked out most of their sites. Looks like I'll need to start saving some money. I missed a really good deal about a year ago. A younger guy had a Suzuki on craigslist for $2000.

I've read about the different beds. Does anyone know the lift capacity for both? I would think the light would lift a load of firewood.

Prices (at least here in Canada) are going up due to increased shipping costs etc.
Don't wait too long for that magical deal!

I missed that one a year ago. I've been watching craigslist and some other sites for one to pop up.

I got my Hijet from Duncan Imports in VA and had it shipped to New Hampshire. Most of their vehicles are in good shape and will cost 6,000+
There is no negotiating the price with them, but they are honest and up front. I agree with others that stock is low right now and prices are going up. Good luck to you.

I've noticed the prices are going up. I've seen a few in the low $6000 range so I'll save some money and hope for a good deal soon.

Honestly I have no idea, they both have the same payload but maybe the heavy dump can lift more. Other option is if you have time and a welder you can add a hydraulic dump bed to your truck like I did. Non dump truck are easier to find and usually they are in better condition.
