Anyone know what this is? I noticed it was not connected and reattached it. It is located under the left side of my S83p mid body under the engine.
The truck has been overheating. But attaching this wire has not changed that. I imagine this is a sensor as well for maybe the fan. I have not noticed any changes as the thermostat gauge on the dash stay mid way during most operating at low speeds off road and through town. The fan does come on without issue when the truck gets warmed up and stays in for a few and then shuts off. It is also on when driving as far as I can tell while the truck is hot, but hard to tell. But anytime I am in 3rd or 4th gear she starts to climb in the temps till the gauge is at max. I have been reading the threads and plan on troubleshooting the overheating. I know I have a leak because I have developed a bubbling sound in the dash I did not have previously. to do: -Bleed the air using bleed valve and truck front end at angle. -Check for head gasket leak by using bottle on radiator -add fluid while at angle -check for obstructs -check hoses for leaks and collapsing while at rpm etc… -Replace lines -flush system and so on.
The cooling fan sensor on my 92 hijet fails to turn the fan on, so it get very hot. I shut off the engine and the fan works once more after starting it.
