    Hi folks,
I have this post in the 'General Truck Info' section and thought I would put it here as well. Hope that's allowed. If not, feel free to remove it.
I'm looking at a 1990 Subaru Sambar. It has a 4 cylinder engine. All the other Japanese mini's I've looked at have 3 cylinder engines. I'm wondering if anyone could give me some feedback and opinions, good or bad, on the 4 cylinder. I have seen where it's difficult to put a lift kit on the Sambar. I'd like to put a 2" lift just to put the next size up in tire size.
    Any information is appreciated.

I have only driven a couple Suzuki Carry’s with the 3cyl and 4spd. Then I bought my Sambar with the 4cyl and 5spd.

The Subaru is certainly more comfortable at higher speeds that the Suzuki’s. It also runs a little smoother than then 3cyls I drove.

    Hope that helps!

keep us posted on wheel/tire choices. I’m researching that now too.
