Toque Specs for the EF engine - 91 Atrai Van

    I will be doing the head gasket this week on my Atrai Van and was wondering if anyone know what are the toque specs for the EF engine? Any help will be extremely appreciate it!

    550+/-50 kg-cm. = 54 +/-5 N-m = 40 +/- 4 ft-lbs.

    so give or take its around 40 Ft-lb give or take 4 right?
    Sorry am a little new to this stuff, but its never too late to learn

    Has anybody had any issues with ordering from https://en.impex-jp.com
    i found the gasket kit but not sure if its a legit site or not. thanks for any feedback

    Yes. I don’t know if these engines have torque to yield head bolts, or not. GR Imports has the complete gasket set for $100. I think they can get it too you faster than Impex.

    And, yes Impex is a real company.

    How hard is it to set the timing on these engines?

    On my truck it is a little difficult, because you have to point the timing light into a hole in the bell housing to see the marks on the flywheel, and and adjust the distributor to align the timing marks. But, with the dump bed lifted and the engine protection plate removed it is pretty easy to do, and easy to access.

    I don’t know how good the access is on your van, or if you can even adjust the timing. If you have the twin cam engine with fuel injection, it may be controlled by the engine control module. I’ll look tonight to see what I can find on the EF-XS engines tonight.

    thank you! am pretty sure my engine is a single Cam, and its not EFI, i though it was but from what ive been reading it's carburetor.
