I am looking for the fuel filter for my 1991 Daihatsu atra XX (S83V) part number 23300-87713-000. anybody know where i can find one or even an aftermarket one? i tried to buy it from https://yokohamamotors.net/ but was told it was discontinue and couldn't find any in stock. any help will be greatly appreciate it! thank you!
original looks like this https://www.monotaro.com/p/3065/7384/ probably you can get a similar one locally, important is only the hose diameter fits. Monotaro Japan offers these filters as alternatives when I search with that number , click at the pics to see what option is possible and buy one locally https://www.monotaro.com/g/01845109/
Have taken the one that is on there to a good parts house when they aren’t busy? A good counter man will have a good feel for what they have which is close. I found out that, the filter from a 77 Toyota Hilux, is a direct replacement for the one on my S110 Hijet.
Getting them from Japan turns a $6 filter into a thirty or forty dollar filter. Like I said before there are two styles of filter on the Hijets. Truck takes one with a 90-degree outlet, which is the same as the filter for a 77 Toyota Hilux (pickup). I think the van has a straight through filter, which is the same as the one for a 77 Toyota Celica. They cost a few dollars at most parts houses.
as mentioned before, it must not be original, any similar fuel filter will do, as long as it fits with the connector hose diameter and installation. There are plenty of universal fuel filters available. Read this thread, might help to find one at NAPA https://minitrucktalk.com/threads/s-c-sambar-en07-aftermarket-fuel-filter.3979/
There are filters with replaceable elements that you can buy for around $30 which come with the mounting bracket, and are threaded to accept 3/8 NPT threads on both inlet and outlet. From that you can get any adapter you need to get into your system.
thank you all!! i order two filters from the link that "ttc" provided, hopefully it gets processed soon, thanks again!
They have 2 step process. 1 pay for part. Once they box they update shipping cost. 2 pay shipping cost. Then they ship out. Unfortunately they do not update when the shipping cost has been added. You have to keep checking your account
I use a Fram G1 fuel filter. You will need a longer hose on the discharge side. The fuel filter has twice the filtering material as the stock filter, and clips into the stock filter holder
Dale, if you get a chance, go into your profile page (click on your name or avatar) and populate your signature with some information on your truck. If it’s stock the year, make, and model will suffice. If you have done mods list them, so when you need, or give advice folks have an idea of where your coming from. Thanks, Jigs
