Do you really think you can get fifteens on an Acty? What tires to you think you can run on those, and with how much lift?

Not saying you can’t do it, but it seems like a huge jump.

Oh yea, tons of guys are running 15's with no problems. I'll be running 195/45/15 for tires.

I'm not sure I would drive a "new to me" truck 4 hrs right off the boat. I bought mine one state over, only two hours home, back roads and my son following. it over heated. too many unknows , could happens , and mights. I know they start them up to get them off the boat, but not knowing history, and such. Just saying. I would take my toolbox. I Have bought Many cars over the last few Decades, most made it home. good luck Have fun. the 185/60-15 from my Scion Xa fit. a bit close, I put spring spacers in to lift a bit. Two people in the cab, and a bump didn't work. same bolt pattern. we share snow tires too. snows are one size smaller so chains will clear, inner fenders.

My plan is to install the new wheels/tires, change the oil and check the rest of the fluids. I am also going to bring some extra coolant/water with me.

I plan to run a set of new HD coil springs in the front. Should ride a little better and give the front a 1" lift.

195/45R15 on an 8" wheel. Gonna be riding on the sidewalls.. 7" is going to be the better option

I looked, the problem is the wheels selection is small and dropping down to a 15X7 narrows it even more.

yeah, but something's gotta give.. You can't put that tire on an 8" rim, not safely.. You could do a 195/50R15 on an 8" rim and get that JDM Streacch.. As a tire installer for a local shop, I can tell you it's not safe and we likely wouldn't mount them on the vehicle for you due to liabilities

I did a quick search on Amazon, (wheel 4x100). I found five 15X6.5 with the 4X100 pattern, in the first two pages.

I would get a trailer from U-Haul. Unless you know that all the maintenance has been done on the truck before it got shipped over. Then you can use rim calculators and make sure what you buy will fit and won't rub.

Between the FB and IG groups I've talked to a few dozen guys at least running 195/45/15 with a zero offset wheel. At most they are running progressive front springs which I plan to do.

I am not saying you can't fit them. I am just surprises that your biggest concern are the tires and not mechanical. You will be driving for over 4 hours. Do you even know the last time the oil change was done?
Anyhow, for some reason I can't see the pictures of the option to vote on that.

I plan to change the oil and check the rest of the fluids before getting on the road.

    I'm also bringing:
    Jump box
    Coolant
    Water
    Inflator
    Small tool kit

Figured this should get me safely home.

There are videos of people hopping in a mini and doing a 'Cannonball' style 1000 mile trip. I think they're nuts. If you read the guide to mini trucks that posted today, you will note a couple references to 'tend to use oil at sustained high RPMs. Yup, they sure do! And that crankcase may hold less than 3 quarts, which is kinda unforgiving. 'Overheating can be an issue'. Mine didn't, but I'm not sure why. Looking at the service sticker, my truck traveled less than 3000/km in the last FOURTEEN YEARS. Can you image what shape many standard service parts are in? Then there is the whole 'can be unstable at highway speeds'. How about moving over one full lane as a tractor trailer passes you at 80.
Don't misunderstand; I love my mini truck. But you have to be realistic. On a good day, in good condition, minis are unsafe. Period. There, I said it. There is no safety gear to speak of, and with a weight of fourteen hundred pounds, you'll lose a fight with anything but a motorcycle. They are thirty years old, and top out at maybe 65. Lighting is minimal. Handling is treacherous. Even locally, my truck is much happier on local streets. I suggest STRONGLY you rethink this. Remember: when you watch all of those episodes of 'Roadkill', remember that they have a camera car following them. You won't.

Very nice wheel / tire combo. Have not seen many people use 15" but I'm new to this forum. I'm hoping to learn more. What is the offset on your wheels? How much backspace do you have with this set up?

    I am running a +0 wheel.

If you haven't, join the Acty FB group. It super active.
Also, if you need any parts check out Fussa's group. He is stationed in Japan and will source any OE part from the dealer or whatever else you may need.
