Can you tow a 1990 Hijet climber with a tow dolly?

I don’t have a trailer at present but I do have a tow dolly. Is it safe to tow my 1990 Hijet climber by the front wheels only as long as I leave it in neutral and the four wheel drive select in neutral?

or will/can it burn up the transmission and differential without oil circulation etc...?

    thanks Jesse

Not sure it would be safe. I put one of mine on a tow dolly but dropped the driveline when I got it up on the dolly.

I flat towed my "92 MiniCab over 800 miles (tow-bar) with no problems, but I disconnected the driveshaft. - It's not very hard.

I’ll guess that you have a standard transmission. It should be ok, if you put the transmission and transfer case both into neutral, and keep the speed down. teh little guys have 700 something gearing in the differentials, and would normally top out at about 55 or 60-mph. So if you go sharing down the road at 70-mph, they would be spinning the drive shafts really fast. So, probably ok for a short distance if you keep the speed down.

If you have put on larger than stock tires you might be able to go a bit faster, but as others have said safest thing is to pull the rear drive shaft off. Even with the transfer case in neutral the spinning drive shaft, will want to spin gears in the transmission and transfer case.
