So I used a chin spoiler off eBay for a VW Golf (2 piece) it fits ok but not perfect and only had to drill a few holes in the underside of the bumper so the holes will not be visible when spoiler is not attached.
Thx, I could prolly trim the back a make it look a little better but I’m not ocd about it so I’m gonna let it ride for now
that looks great @James Griffin! How do you think the plastic would hold paint? I have the factory white bumper, so i haven't ordered yet. I haven't decided about the direction I want to go with color
Its a hard textured plastic but I’m sure with a plastic bonding agent painting it should work ok. Next for me are wheels and tires.
@James Griffin Nice set up I like it! Anyone else have some other examples of front lips. I would like to install one on my HA2 but I am looking for something a bit let aggressive to try and conserve the classic look with the round lights.
Can only find for HA3, 4 a MAG front bumper spoiler/ lip https://www.rhdjapan.com/mag-factory-front-bumper-spoiler-frp-acty-ha3-ha4-hh3-hh4-kouki.html
SEM makes a plastic adhesion promoter/primer. I have had great success with it. I believe they sell it on Amazon and in automotive paint stores like Wesco (Pacific Northwest company). Sometime going into stores like that also have 2K aerosol cans that ca be custom matched. Best of luck
