I almost got in a bad wreck today driving home from work. I was running about 60 on a 4 lane road in a pack of traffic. A car passed me in the left lane running about 70, then stomped on the brakes to get back alongside me.

The problem was the 4 lane divided was about to narrow to 2 lanes undivided and cross a railroad track. This idiot was looking at me and not the road ahead of him. I slowed down to let them in front of me, they slowed down, I slowed more and so did they. We also had the pack of traffic now breathing down our neck behind us.

I finally had to pull off the road and stop on the shoulder to keep this idiot from forcing me into the crossing light. Naturally, all the cars and 18 wheelers that stacked up behind us told me I was #1 when they went by.

I don't mind people asking me about my truck or looking it over, but this was just too much. Anyone else have problems with rubberneckers when your on the road?

No problems yet.. I drive mine around town and sometimes to work here in Phx az. I stay of the freeway. I do get rubbernecks.. and double takes.. Seems like whever I go.. if someone's near me when I get out of the truck.. I'm asked questions.
Yesterday.. I threw the Mt bike in truck.. went to local trails.. did a ride.. and came back to truck.. Had to anwser questions for 15 min before I could leave.. Sometimes it feels real good to be popular.. other times you do not have the time.

Yeah, it gets kind of old answering the same questions over and over.

My favorite is "Where did you get that thing?!" What does it matter? Craigslist. Private party. He doesn't have any more!

    "What is that?"
    "Where did you get it?"
"If you don't mind, How much did it cost?"
"Does it come with those tires?"
"How long does it take to get used to driving on that side?"
    "Can you get parts?"
"Do you want to sell it?"

It's a truck, it's 4wd and will go everywhere you go in your big ford.
    $4000, really that's all
yep but i plan on putting a little big bigger :D
not long at all really, just a little hard to find the right gear at first
easily most of the time, sometimes i have to wait a couple days, just like you
everything is for sale ;) how much have you got?

yeah, it's like an interview when i get out of it... stares, head scratching and curious looks. kids like to wave at it, teenagers want to race me (not sure why?) and passers-by on the road usually give me a thumbs up.

if you have RHD the most fun thing to do is this...

get an old steering wheel out of anything have your passenger hang onto it while driving (my wife loves doing this) and when people pull up beside us and are staring at her, she waves, the acts like she is jerking the wheel in their directions (but i'm really driving.. lol) they swerve and back off... yeah, we're evil... so what?

Since I don't drive on the public roads I don't have the problem with rubberneckers. When I had my Viper, I attracted them often. With the Viper I could out run them - sometimes with exciting results. :)
