This is the only place I could find it listed- http://www.jp-carparts.com/subaru/p...id=950&part_id=95017 &part_code=95011TA170LW Not sure if it's still available.
All of the carpets are discontinued. I bought literally the last one in Japan back in 2017. I tried to get another right after to keep as a spare and every single variation I could find was no longer available.
I've been wondering the same thing. Been doing some research lately to see if there is anything out there. After watching some vids I'm not thinking I am quite up to the task of making my own .
There is many more on youtube depending which direction you are interested in. Here is some of my youtube watch list on the topic Pro DIY: Bodge diy: How moulded carpet works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvGRsM5Z2P8 Fancy moulded carpet info: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HYgcAQ-CbPs
Essentially what I have learned is, you can either use a thin fabric and spray glue it to the insulation, or you can go old school and make a full on fitted fabric pattern. If/when this project comes around for me I will probably go the glue to the insulation route as I think I could make it the most professional.
I did that to the exposed areas of my truck along with denim heat reflective padding under the carpet and it did a ton to knock down the tinny-ness of the cabin noise.
What is that sprayed in black? Have you got a picture of the carpet in? I like the heat reflective padding.
It's a paint on product from Lowes- https://www.lowes.com/pd/HERCULINER-Bed-Liner-Black-Kit/4222493 The padding was from home depot, but seems to be out of stock everywhere right now- https://www.homedepot.com/p/UltraTo...er-with-Recycled-Cotton-30000-11406/100656748 Sorry no pics of it all done. I'll try and take some this week.
I appreciate all your help and speedy response. Would love to see the pictures after you are finished.
They are readily available from japan. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e491845391 If you can’t read Japanese, you can use a service called buyee.jp You send the URL to them, they buy it for you, then re-ship from their warehouse. Costs a little more but this should allow you to order stuff from Japan.
