Morning Chris, You will find it difficult to find a F5A motor. Not sure whats wrong with yours but you probably
stand a better chance of rebuilding. The internet will give you mini truck suppliers that deal in parts to re-build
G&R Imports in Jackson, MO ? I know have rebuilt motors. Not knowing what you use the truck for maybe you
should go for a F6A with a little more juice in it. Search around the internet lot of things out there on the other hand
maybe just buy another truck of the same type then you got some spare parts. Also a guy KY.( I think) Johnny Bishop
might be able to help you
    Regards
    Brian

Chris, welcome aboard. Please take a moment to go to the blue field near the top of the page, and follow the links to add the information for your rig, in the signature field of your profile. It makes it a lot easier for folks to give you advice.

Now, on to your question: Their is a guy in Florida, who has an F5A listed with a six month warranty and free shipping. He is asking for $1000. Which might seem a little steep. But, some one else is listing the complete rebuild kit for $840. Which makes it seem not quite as steep.

I gave $1,250 for a complete Jimny F6A with EFI manifold, turbo, intercooler ect as well as a warranty. $1,000 for a 5A is wayy too steep.

Beforward.JP will now break down and container ship whole broken vehicles, so you can buy a truck newer than 25 years and they will break it down for you into parts. Not sure total cost but it would be less than RO-RO I would think
