1994 Daihatsu Hijet, I want to remove the horn button to refurb the button itself. When I say button I am referring to the big center pad.

    thanks for your advice

My '98 centre pad pops off - it's held in place in four corners and removes easily using a plastic wedge panel removal tool stuck upwards in the space between the bottom cast part of the wheel and the plastic centre pad. Don't forget to disconnect the battery first! The "horn button" is actually four contacts mounted on two metal strips. The switch may not be your problem if the horn doesn't work - check if you have power at the horn first perhaps?

Hey, i know it,s been a very long time but, thanks for the encouragement! It's always helpful to hear back from folks about how advice worked out for them. Setting up your profile signature with unit info can definitely streamline future assistance. By the way, if you're ever in the market for an upgrade, consider checking out an air horn gun that can deliver a powerful, attention-grabbing sound. It could be a fun addition to your setup!
