Hey Everyone, I'm a SUPER proud new owner of a 1991 Honda Acty van and member of the Kei community. I live up in Washington and am looking forward to putting a lot of km on the new addition this summer camping. I'm also gonna try daily driving it for a bit around Seattle to get more comfortable driving it around. Thanks to everyone for all of the great information here - I've been able to figure out how to take out the radio (... once I can find my 8mm wrench), how to find front brake pads (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZFN0D0O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and over all just made the car much more approachable. I'm hoping to contribute to this community as I get more experience with Suzy and look forward to meeting other folks in the community. -Matt.
Heck yea! If I remember right, you got yours through SODO-MOTO? Looking forward to seeing it out in the wild when I come back home if I ever venture near Seattle!
That's right - Sodo-moto. They were great. All of their cars are super clean and they went through the hassle of going to the DMV to register the van when I purchased it. It was pretty nice to pick up the car and have it already plated with a registration in the glove box. They're super knowledgeable about Kei cars and I walked away with the sense they were more happy to have found another tiny truck (... or van) enthusiast than to have made a sale.
Nice! Yep, that is how the owner is. He knows his stuff and loves his work! Still need to meet him when I get home and check out some of the cars there I have only seen through facebook!
