I bought my carry from a NW dealer, they had the lowest prices, no haggling, I think they just did a quick test run of them then posted them for sale. To give you an idea of how low, they blew through 11 mini trucks in 4 days.
On to my truck, 93 Carry dump, 4wd with axle lock, no diff lock, but A/C (WA, so not a real biggie), clean, some rust of course, but I could also see quite a few newer parts installed.
Quick test drive, everything seemed Ok. (my first test drive ever, in a Carry), but I knew if I hesitated it would be gone quick. Had them put on new street tires, (WA they can be registered), really fair price. Pretty happy.
Got it home to our small farm, took it out in 2wd, first little bump, rear tires spun, NP, 4wd, nope, no 4wd indicator or axle lock.. nuts. Got the tractor out, got it going, went to see what was wrong, no front drive "propeller" shaft (I would call it a drive shaft, but the Japanese don't), called the dealer the next Bus. day, no problem he would order one and install it! Who does that anymore.. 10 days later part in from Japan, installed, 4wd checks out, homeward bound. Retest in the field, no 4wd again.... nuts.
Did some troubleshooting, just didn't make sense, everything seemed to be working, except the control module, I guessed. Then the engine died, wouldn't start. Big nuts... now what. Went though the whole routine of checking everything, came down to fuel, but there was pressure at the new looking carb. weird.
Then I thought, screw it, put the start charger on it, just started cranking, after a 4th 30sec. burst, it was trying to start. Then it started, ran like what's the problem, It was fine.... I hate gremlins. Then I change the pitch of the truck slightly, it died again.. Ok this is bad gas, ran it awhile and the gremlins were, gone.
    whew.
All of a sudden 4WD was working too, wow.. was I happy, went to get the wife and show and 4wd stopped working! NUTS, and embarrassing. my lemon was back. Ok, reading and reading, I have to find that control module. Everyone is right, what a huge PITA!, I decided to take out the radio to get to it. Pic's attached.
It was the control module, I don't know if it was cracked solder on the circuit board (I reworked some of the bad looking connections) or just simply unplugging it and plugging it back in. But it all works great now.

The reason for my post is to try and return info on what I found, and the information here from other users was fantastic in helping me find all of my problems.
Thank you everyone for all of your helpful posts!

    Welcome,
Nice Carry! Their nice little rigs when their working properly! Do your maintenance, as you know, make sure all your fluids are proper, clean and repair, any electrical connections like your doing. I use Di-electric grease on all my electrical connections, it has helped me tremendously, and saved a lot of time down the road. Inspect your fuel tank, their is no substitute for a clean fuel tank! Go to you profile, and put in your mini info., in the signature! It will help to identify, your unit for further suggestions! Good Luck!

I found this on the web, go to the home and put in your VIN and all of the OEM parts come up for your truck..

If you want to get to that 4WD computer, I found the easiest way is to undo the fuse box and move it to the side. Its just one screw holding in the fusebox. You can then get your hand back there with a short screwdriver and remove and replace it. It took me about 15 minutes to switch it out. No more clicking sounds and 4WD works perfect.

You can get a module from Japan, but it is extremely expensive.
I removed mine and repaired it, it was just a couple of cracked solder joints.
Otherwise you are left looking for used units, through Ebay or Google search. Also expensive, but better than direct from Japan.
If none are listed keep looking, they pop up time by time.
