Does anyone have experience or books or.....? I have a truck that won't run well, many codes all relate to the air temp sensor, and MAP sensor. Where are these located on the engine?
Typically the air temp is somewhere in the duct from the filter to the throttle body. And the MAP, or Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor is located just after the throttle body.
Thanks for the reply Jigs, that's where you would think it would be. It's has knock, temp, tps, a stepper motor, everything you need except an air sensor.
YOu could try asking on the “Live to Dai”, daihatsu forum. There are a lot of highly knowledgeable European, Aussies, and Kiwis, who may be able to give you specifics advice. After posting there, on what options I have to increase the power, I’m now looking for the 1-liter EJ-DE engine for my S110. 40% more power, and nearly twice the torque, as a bolt in swap is enticing.
