Could be a water pump issue, but how was your coolant? When I got mine it looked like ditch water... so bad that I had rust deposits coating the inside of the hoses! When you gave them a squeeze you could hear it crunch:eek:!!

Your problem might be plugged lines.... drain your system (radiator drain plug was on the passenger side, inside, bottom, towards the truck, kinda hidden on mine) and maybe even pull some hoses off. There are a few more hoses that use coolant that you might suspect. Flush all your stuff several times, and remember the bleeder screw on top of your thermostat housing... I also had good luck elevating the front end by about a foot, which made the radiator cap the highest point. Hope this helps. Just my .02

Someone else might have some better idea's as well... keep us posted

Yep sounds like an air lock to me. Bleeder screw on thermostat housing. Did you check thermostat to make sure it wasn't stuck shut?

when i got the engine there is a coolant residue on the radiator hose where i can find this thermostat? does this engine have some kind of plug when the engine is in correct temp it opens?

You mean the kind of plug that opens like a thermostat? Your truck SHOULD have a thermostat. The thermostat on my 93 suzuki is on the top of the engine towards the front, almost directly below my parking brake. You can access the bleader screw that is one top of the thermostat housing by removing the passenger seat. I think it is a 8mm....with your truck running, loosen that screw a little and fluid should escape, if your pump is pumping:D

Holy %$#$!! I didnt know you had your engine out, that might be easier to replace clogged hoses, etc. It may or may not flow freely..still could be water pump issues or clogged lines. I would recommend flushing your engine as well as your hoses. And replace your thermostat... I think I used one from a Suzuki Swift, and the gasket fit perfectly as well. Be sure to drill a drainage hole in the side of the new thermostat... see some pics below of not only the thermostat, but what was lurking inside my hoses, and clogging everything. The stock thermostat is on the left, the new one is on the right. The hole I drilled is about 1/16". And Trax is right on in your other thread with the same issue, its easier to lift the front end and just remove the radiator cap to fill/bleed air. Turn your heater on to ensure its circulating through the entire system.

My radiator fan would not run "automatically" until I had my problems with my clogged lines/hoses fixed, and ALL the AIR out of the system. And then my thermostat wasn't operating correctly, and that might of had something to do with it, so I replaced that as well. The over flow hose was clogged with that rust-sediment crap and so that wasnt allowing flow, which caused problems:frustration:.... I ended up taking hoses off and flushing with a garden hose, sending water through the system, running some radiator flush/cleaner from the auto store, replacing hoses etc. I think I might have it completely licked now:cool:,, until I said that, now when I go hunting next month and I am in the sticks I will have issues....

since this is a new F6A engine (well not actually brandnew) there is no wiring for external rad fan coz the F10A engine has built-in rad fan. Is there any wiring schematic for this type of engine? Thanks in advance :)

I do not have one, but try this website:

    http://www.minitruckcentral.com/SuzukiCarry.html

Maybe an after market electrical fan, I think some of them are thermostat controlled?

thanks for the info but the link you gave me does not have the electrical diagram all you can see is the telephone# on every page of the pdf file :(

I think you may need the japanese font thingy download from acrobat:( but I dont know where you get it:confused: Go to minitruckcentral.com and then click on the parts catalog library.... maybe going in that way it will ask you to download that portion if it needs it...

the fan diagrams are under the "engine" part. But maybe start at the illustrated index... not sure... Anyone? That link works on my machine, not sure why it does not on yours?!?!. Keep us posted:pop:

My suzuki f6a temp gauge reaches to the max after I think 10 minutes of running and returns to normal rapidly once I pulled over. I already bleed the rad and checked the hoses but still problem exist. The same happened when I move backward for about 10 meters. Anybody knows the remedy, pls help me. Thnx

  26. Sounds like your radiator might be plugged?

My bet would be an air bubble, if you have ramps put the front end of your truck higher than the rear, let it cool, and then open the radiator, and fill while running. There is a bleeder screw on top of the thermostat housing as well, but I have had better luck with putting my truck on my oil change ramps.

Was this a F6A swapped to a F10? Would love to know the details of the swap please.
