Need Parts from Japan?? I'd like to help.

Hey guys, I'm a USAF veteran and live in West Tokyo. I work on the military base and have access to the US Post office which allows me to mail stuff statestide for a little less than standard international shipping.

I can order from Yahoo Auctions and am in the process of cataloging all the local parts warehouses nearby. I recently bought a set of fan belts for my Minicab and noticed on the US websites, the belts were nearly double the price!

I have done this type of stuff for people that modify japanese cars and since I now own a kei truck, i'd like to do the same here. I typically add a 20% service fee but for expensive purchases I am flexible on that. Since most things for these trucks are cheap, I don't think 20% is too bad at all.

On the topic of tires....I see a lot of you guys using tractor, ATV, and lawn mower tires, which look awesome. However, there are awesome tires, even aggressive offroad tires available here for much cheaper than what i'm seeing stateside, which i'm sure are much better for driving on the road.

Let me know if you need anything from Japan and i'll see what I can do!

Been through Yokota AB quite a few times. Also a vet but still in the military. I am in need of a couple parts for a Mitsubishi Mighty Mits truck. It looks to be a early 90s model. I am looking for a seat base for the right side and the engine access panel in the bed and I am sure more stuff if you can actually get your hands on this old of a vehicle. Let me know

Would happen to have details on your model? Chassis code or the model number (Jpn ver of the VIN number). If you have the original Japanese title that would be mega helpful.

Well this is all I have for identifying year or model. I know the u14 model was 88-92 or so. That’s all I really have to I’d the year of the truck.

Justin, right now I dont see anything on Yahoo auctions. With it being such a old truck, it will be tough to find. I will stop by a few auto wreckers when convenient and see if they happen to have any they havent crushed yet...the japanese are nuts about crushing nearly everything.

I use Rakuten often, currently helping another member purchase some Toyo Open Country tires! Shoot me an email with your address and I'll get a quote.

    My email is blownsirii@gmail.com.

Does that Rakuten site have a toggle to put it in English?

How tall is that the 12”?

Do they make it in 13” or 14”?

The Rakuten site does not have an option to display English. Your best bet is to use Google Chrome and set it up to automatically translate the page.

Yes the Toyo Open Country comes in many other sizes. The 12" is basically the same size as the stock tire. I should have measured them before I shipped them out. I'll look up sizes available and post them here.

However, the 12" is currently on sale.

This is awesome, thanks. I will keep you in mind, as I am a new member/owner of a Subaru Domingo, and I'm having a hard time finding a source for parts outside the one shop in Vancouver Canada.

Anything like those in 13”? My truck spends most of the time on the road, but I would like to have tires that are good in the pasture, as well.

Nothing offroad comes in a 13" however I can get you a set of 14" steel wheels for around $70 (with some cheap snow tires mounted...you can keep them but it will increase the shipping fee).

And then you can run the Nankang FT-9 pictured above in 14" with a 2" lift.

Or if you have your stock 12" steel wheels (which I can also get for very cheap, $50-60 a set), you can run the Open Country in stock size (also pictured above).

New fish here, just bought a 1998 Honda Acty SDX (HA4 2398956) truck, very pleased with it. It needs a tailgate, can you help?

How much for a set or two of the Nankang FT-9? Alternatively, Yokohama also has the Geolandar X-AT in 145R14C, too.

Seems like ZakRides has left the building.

You can shop Yahoo Japan Auto auctions... no translate/alternate options available though except what your browser provides. However.

Enter your truck/van whatever model designation. Ie. DB51T etc... that should get you started and go from there. Then, use the 'Buyee' service to get 'er done. They facilitate overseas transactions and shipping, and iirc the interface is available in English and maybe some other languages too.

Good comprehensive list, thanks for adding that.

Being here in Japan I've never had the need, so I have no idea which service is best.

I looked on Yahoo Japan, and there was what looked like a set for the Atrai Van, which would probably work. But, I don’t know enough to figure out how a person would order them.
