Hey guys, I'm new to the world of mini trucks but I'm in the market for one for the farm. Anyways, I've come upon a 1990 hijet. Its in good shape, has a lift and four wheeler tires and rims. It has 38k miles. Its a standard cab. It runs good and is 4wd of course. Guy is asking 7500$. Is this high or about right? Thnx in advance!

    If it's real nice... $3,500 ~$4,500.

Unless it comes packed high with whatever he's smoking.

    IMO.

Lol thnx ronin. I've searched all these dealers on the internet and they are all over the place price wise. What is the cheapest way to get one of these trucks? I live in ky, so I figured it will cost me around a grand to get one hauled from out west. Plus a grand for a lift, tires, and wheels.

I'm in Indiana. Depends what you are looking for and when you need it. I purchased a real clean one from Japan and had a company export it, i passed it through customs and picked it up from port. I did all that for almost 1/2 what that truck is posted for. Plus you get to pick your own truck. In Japan they sell for $600-1500. Couple thousand for shipping and export fees. Looking at $4000 or less for a truck.

That being said, trucks go for $4500-7500 locally. I'd double check title status on it also.

I think the $7500 he is asking is fare. after import costs and lift, tires etc he's not making a whole lot of money. If you are handy go the import way for $3000-$4000. And add on later.

My 95 low bed dump with ac, 5 speed with diff lock was 1600 cad at auction. 1000 to the exporter and around 1600 for the shipping to Halifax. It was insured and on the road for around 5000cad

Guys selling them want way to much in my opinion. And they want to much for the parts they sell. I order all my stuff from japan

Well 1995 is not even close to a 2019 with that new car smell and who knows what has been in yours. As far as price you put up all the money to get a truck hear from Japan and sell it and only make a 1000 dollars. Would you sell the one you have for a 1000 more than what you paid? If so, do it and order one from Japan and there you go cause you know how much time it takes. So go on with your bad self

I did buy one in Japan through an exporter after watching auctions for a couple months for the truck that met all my criteria. Also did all the import paperwork to get it from the port in Canada. We don't have loop holes to by newer then 15 and just not drive them on the road.
