I was looking for a 23x8 or 24x8 that would hold a decent load. I was hoping for dot approved, but haven't found anything in these sizes. I looked at the tire you referenced 1st. If you scroll down, they show some other ones. I run tires very similar to he ones they show as 145X12 on my carryvan, only in a 155x12 size. They are 8 ply rated and I am pleased with them and have run overloaded quite a few times. Looks like the ones you referenced probably would have more grip in mud and such but the ones I have seem to do well in most conditions. Roads here would be comparable to how the roads were in the states during the 30s, some pavement/cement but quite a bit of dirt/gravel. Mine are a different manufacturer as I am in the Philippines and our availability of items is quite different from there and these vehicles are quite popular here. Fred
12's are hard to find, most of it for brand name will either be Bridgestone winter tires or Yokohama Super Digger for 12" unless you want to run ATV tires. if you want better tire selection, its best to upgrade to 13's i run Bridgestone Blizzak 145R12 LT on 12x6 rims no issue
I have 13's on my truck and the only thing I can find is a super digger look a like. I am thinking about going to a 12" wheel
I have 13’s and I can’t find anything. I think I am going to get 12’s and get a set of Kanati mongrels. They have a 23” tire. I spoke to a guy that is running them and he loves them. He says they are good on pavement so that works for me.
Mongrels don't have very much load rating. I tried to buy the tires I linked, but they were out of stock. I ended up going with Carlisle all trails. We'll see how that goes.
Have not seen those before but boy I like both of them, especially the second link. Mane thing that I have found to be important with mini tires are the ply. 4- 8 really are not good enough for the load these trucks take. Then add all of the bumpers/roof racks/winches/skid plates etc. Go with 6 ply and the tires are your shock absorbers instead of your beefed up coil springs.
Having gone with 23x8 all trails, I think the second link would be the winner unless you like to trim sheet metal. I wish they would have had them in stock when I needed them. There are very few options for wider tires with good load ratings.
