    Hey guys....................

Just wanted to share some info with you all. I just purchased the "1999-2007 Hijet Owner's Manual" from lulu.com.

    http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/daihatsu-hijet-owners-manual-1999-2007-s210p-chassis/3528468?productTrackingContext=search_results/search_shelf/center/1

I usually research things very thoroughly but I slipped on this one. I could have bought it about $25 cheaper from the guys that put it together over at Gung Ho.

Pretty nice book, excellent translation, both text and diagrams. It covers 1999-2007 but all of the interior and exterior illustrations are from the 2005 and newer models. I bought this knowing that it is an owner's manual and not a service manual. It is just like our owner's manuals here, how to start the car, what the warning lights mean, how to drive the car, etc. Again, the service info is the same as you would find on your car or truck here. It has fuse locations and ratings. It does have a nice spec chart at the end that covers the EF-SE and EF-VE engines. It also includes fluid types and capacities.

Let me know if I can help with any of that info and I'll be glad to post it.

Any idea where to find a manual for an earlier model like S80?

PS.. anybody with a manual transmission s210P find that the gearbox has no fill/drain plugs? The transfer case seems to share fluid with gearbox and both are serviced through drain/fill plugs on transfer case. Mine is a 2003 model, EFSE engine (single cam), 5spd

I have not looked at the gearbox but I do think that this spring I really ought to give my truck a thorough going through and replace all fluids just to be on the safe side. I topped my coolant a few weeks ago just before the Polar Vortex (we saw -28F!) and noticed the stuff in there looked a little rusty.

Does the manual show any info on how to change a timing belt? Torque specs etc?

I'm just doing my timing belt and trying to find the same info for the Crank pulley bolt and belt tensioner bolt torque specs.

Or anything about how to tension the timing belt correctly
