Front Winch/plow/bumper mounting points.

    Hoping some members can post photos of mounting locations they used to mount items to front of their mini trucks. I have a daihatsu hijet (1997 i think). Im sure i can figure it out, but photos might help show mounting points i did not consider. Want it to be as secure as possible.

    Thinks blew up at work this week. I’ll be working on my truck tomorrow, and will try to take pictures of the bumpers I built, with 2-inch recievers on both ends and in the middle, and how I mounted them.

    Mine is a “tipper” scissors/dump. I used the tube that runs across the rear of the frame as a mounting point, the square plate in the first picture has a pipe welded on the back of it, which goes into the frame tube, and transfers all the load directly into the frame. The two bolts just keep things from rotating around the frame. You can see the tube, it is what the rotator bushing for the dump fram, and license plate are mounted to.

    Here are some of the front setup. The kid at the welding shop who started the project made a mess and screwed up the main mounts. I told him to reuse the stock towing brackets, which have four holes, in the bottom, and two in the front. He used 33–inch channel, and didn’t get the holes in it matched to the welded nuts in the reinforced area of the frame. He also, stripped out most of the factory weldnuts. I ended up having to drill in between the factory threads and installing rivnuts.
