Just got a 92 Acty. Very excited and already love it. Titled in Fla. but having a time here in NC. DMV told me to get a DMV inspector and he's already told me he won't allow it before even seeing it. We'll have to see.
I'm a little late and I hope you've already gotten your DMV settled but just in case it'll help. My local DMV (Idaho) was hesitant to retitle and register my Sambar (it was imported to and titled in Washington state). Presenting them with not just the bill of sale and WA title, but also the EPA Form 3520-1 and DOT form HS-7 really helped me.
