    Hey Guys
Have 2 vacum hoses that are just hanging. One looks like its from distributer cap and goes up to the top around carb and just stops? Is it vacum advance? And 1 that comes out of the air box post filter tees off ? I'll try and post the pictures. Don't knowif someone can tell me where they go. Also vacum gauge bounces between 15-18. So maybe mixture screws or plugs? Just had my exhaust temp gauge come on and won't go off. Can seem to load picture said file to large for sever

After a little research the 1 from the distbuter cap is a vent.....Now for the other one.

try and resize it on a free online imaging site and i can tell you where the line goes, worst case i have some other stuff to do tonight and i can scan the vacuum line diagrams off the service manual

is it these 2? theres this one on top of the airbox that goes to the carb

then theres this one at the bottom of the airbox that goes to the exhaust manifold, that ones likely for winter to supply warm air at startup

    Hey Maximal
Your first picture show the hose. If you look at the inlet hose clamp just below your finger there is a 1/4 line....it clips on the side of the inlet hose and tees. 1 goes goes to a vacuum block....my other one turns and looks like it starts to come back up by the vacuum chock.....but it just stops....I can tell something is missing but have no ideal where it goes

    so it starts here

then goes to the 3-way T. one end of the T goes to the vacuum block under the bed here

and the end im assuming youre wondering about goes here by the throttle. where you see my watch is where the air conditioner compressor goes and im pointing towards the passenger side of the truck, where my index finger is theres a nipple under the throttle that the vacuum line attaches to. if you have AC, you probably will be having to unbolt and swing the compressor out of the way to attach it, you can see the vacuum line loop around on the right side from the T valve and go under the plastic cover towards my index finger

also the exhaust temp gauge is actually for the cat converter, JDM vehicles have a temperature probe and if the cat gets too hot you get the dash light. usually if the light comes on theres a issue with the sensor itself or the wiring and you can just ground the wire to get the light out

my Toyota Crown the cat was plugged and when i stopped at lights the revs went down briefly and i got the rotten egg smell, i took out the cat and welded in a pipe and just cut the sensor wires off and got no dash light even when it was plugging up and probably cooking hot in summer. my bet is the wires to your sensor maybe broke

No worries, it's a tight fit but it feels like there's a vacuum nipple that the hose attaches to. If you end up not being able to find it I have a EN07C in the garage of my other place and I can get a good picture Saturday

I did find where it goes. There was a vacuum switch in the front of the carburator. If v you follow the intake tube from the air box to the carb. It sits right under it. Had to get to it from the passenger side to plug it in. Seems to me that it had a much quicker warm up time from idle to full temp. I believe part #14773.. not sure what it does are the proper name. I would like to post pictures my pics are under 3 megs ....more lIke 2.2megs. That what's supposed to be the max for posting. Don't know

I did a compression check and got 180 psi,180psi ,185 psi,185 psi. So the motor seems to be strong with those numbers. The only thing left to fix is the exhaust heat sensor

interesting that it made it warm up faster, summer mine has no issue with the water needle getting halfway after 5 minutes of idling but winter when its below -20c it takes 20 minutes of driving to get halfway and if i stop at a red light for more than 2 minutes the needle starts to go down even lol

Page 96 of the manual under fuel & exhaust. Calls it a Thermo valve

Best I can tell from the manual is its a Thermo Vacuum Switch

i'll double check tonight, i have the english drivetrain/electrical and english chassis manuals and Jap owners manual but nothing goes into detail about vacuum lines really. i'll double check tonight but i think the manual just says refer to a vacuum line diagram sticker on the truck which ive never seen

There is the Temperature Valve on the carburetor, which is what I think you are referring to. It is identified as 14773, and has a part number of 14773KA130 for your truck. It MSRPs at 2,830¥.

Sounds about right. Thanks for the info. I don’t believe I need on yet. But I do need the exhaust temp sensor. I hate to pay the $150 dallors... but what’s a guy to do

That sensor is 88051TA060, and is 7,320 yen at the dealer. Your $150 figure sounds like the Yokohama Motors price.

    Your right
Yokohama price.....do you know of reliable source?

I recommend JapanParts.com. They mark up about 10% from MSRP and have reasonable shipping rates. Yokohama charges about 20-30% more, and charges 8% consumption tax on top of their inflated prices.

I made a post over in another thread explaining how to order parts from them that are not listed on their site. Check it out here: https://minitrucktalk.com/threads/s...or-a-2001-sambar-tt2.18500/page-2#post-105921

    Thanks rkrenicki,
Just ordered it. And your right....big savings. When from approximately $150 to $98. Definitely where I will be buying parts from in the future
