Just bought new tires for my '90Carry. The folks at Sun Tire (David) went out of their way to get four new 155 R12's for my truck. They even put the best of the ones on it on my spare rim for nothing. Props to the guys at Sun Tire in Middleburg, Fla. It feels so much better now. Thinking about painting it yellow/orange and putting Tonka logos on it. Should be a real eye turner then.
Also have a '90 carry. I have a set of 23"x8"x23" Carlisle all trails on it as well as Yokohama super digger mud and snowstires on the stock rims. I put on whichever I need depending on where I'll be driving itost
Great looking truck R.A.T. Did you have to do anything to it to get the 23s under there? And, where did you find the rims for them? That's just the look I'm wanting for mine. They look really sharp on yours. The guy at Sun Tire was telling me it would be hard to find 12" on road/off road tires that are "road rated". Meaning they can handle the heat and friction related to driving on asphalt or concrete at typical road speeds. Are your 23s actual road use tires? It looks like you use it for normal driving, meaning, why make it look so good if your not going to drive it around? Thanks for your reply. Hope to talk to you again, Spanky
It has a 2" lift (GR imports) which from what I read on this forum and elsewhere is tht max you want to go for these without further adjustments. The 23"x8"x12" carlisle all trails are 3ply non-Dot rated so yeah not suitable for road use. There are a wide variety of rims available in 23"x7"x12" size. Most of the time I roll the stock rims with my new yokohama super diggers. https://www.grparts.net/product-p/tires-colon- yokohama superdiggers.htm
Hi, Just imported DD51T from Japan. Original 12" wheels was affull so running on 13" now. Ziarelli Trac 155/70r13 2018-09-12 18.56.55 by LD1984 posted Sep 20, 2018 at 8:34 PM Wheels are Suzuki Swift OE steels. Steels cost 6pcs/20€/24$ Tires was 300€/352$
Thanks for the info. I think I'll check some of the auto junk yards and see if I can find a crashed Swift with good wheels. I can't stand the 12's. They just look so whimpy. Your looks sharp with the 13's, and no lift required, right?
I noticed you showed price in Euros, where are you? I'm in the north east part of the state of Florida in the USA.
