So here's my plan 800 cc CDI turbo diesel from a smart Fortwo into my 97 U42T Mini cab. Chipped it's supposed to do 65Hp and 95Ft lbs. I already picked up a core motor for mock up. Im on the lookout for a complete wrecked smart car. But as of now im looking for a 5 speed as my truck is a 4 spd and a smart car clutch/flywheel unit to modify to run different clutch setup.
pics are all broken, probably a permissions issue with your google hosting. is the ForTwo a transaxle setup? I know they are rear engine/rear drive but I'm not familiar with their actual layout. what's your drivetrain layout plan? Seems like an absolutely awesome swap, much more practical than my plan (which at this rate is never happening!)
What ever came of this? ive thought of swapping a 2001 Honda Insight into my Daihatsu Happy messenger (Miles zx40)
