S83P cold high idle control

I have a S83P hijet that runs great when warm. The only problem is with cold engine I have to feather the throttle for a few minutes to keep it from stalling. I have went through and made sure choke is actuating as it should and all my other carb adjustments are correct. I think I found the cause but need help if anyone has a wiring schematic to tell me what controls power and ground to this vacuum solenoid. When I unplug the solenoid and engine is cold the Rpms will come up to 1800 as suppose to with cold engine. When I plug it back in the rpms drop to low idle and that's when it struggles. I found when unplugging the vaccum line to the solenoid it reacts the same. I believe the solenoid should have some sort of ground that is controlling solenoid to slowly actuate the solenoid. Here are some pics of the solenoid that is in question. It controls the vacuum to the diaphragm that controls the cold high idle on the carburetor. Thanks in advance for anyone's help. FYI it is a EF-CS engine. 660cc

Here's a pic of a carb for my early 91 daihatsu
The high idle choke screw is on the side of the carb next to the throttle cable connects on the ball . Hard to tell from your pics if it's the same but my choke is coolent water activated and the choke idle speed adjusted on the opposite side then the reg idle screw
Not sure if the carbs are the same , hard to tell from your shots

The choke on mine seems to be working correctly and I believe is also water temperature controlled on mine. On your pic the right side with the 2-3inch round silver diaphragm canister is what controls the cold high idle speed setting and The far right side screw. Mine has a vaccum hose running from it to a solenoid with two wires. It has system voltage (13-14 volts) all the time. If I unplug the connector the cold idle speed goes up which makes me believe whatever is controlling the power or ground to it is the problem. Thanks for the pic of the carb. Hard to get a good pic in vehicle.

The silver vacuum diaphragm on mine the hose goes thru the brown and green plastic valve to a fitting on the front engine side of the carb .
I can take more pics of it as it's just sitting in the box and in the morning I can grab some of the one on the truck

Your 91 must be different then mine then. Mine doesn't have the plastic check valve inline and the hose runs back to the solenoid mounted by the air filter housing. Thanks for you input on it.

Mines a oddball 660 with a 4 speed and drums all around . An Early S83P and since its Japanese there no "model year" so there's changes thru the run using up what's left from the previous model . My Toyota land cruisers are this way too, order parts by month and year or better yet the VIN as the stuff changed month to month

I am having the same problem you described here, did you figure it out? Looking at your pictures it seems like our trucks were built around the same time.
