First off, I would like to thank everyone for sharing the wealth of information contained on this site.

I bought a 1994 Mazda Scrum / Suzuki Carry DK51T earlier this summer. The truck has been registered/licensed in Saskatchewan since at least 2010, so I don't have to worry about getting it inspected. The problem that I have is that the truck sat for about 2 years and doesn't run very well. I plan on cleaning the carburetor but don't have any experience doing that so the information contained on this site will be invaluable. Next will be replacing spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and router and probably the vacuum lines.

Question for all the other mini-truck owners in Saskatchewan.....I know there are a couple of dealers in Regina and Saskatoon, but where do you go to get any service work done on your vehicle?

    M.

Hey, I live in Delisle sk, I have a Suzuki Carry DD51T with mattracks. Can’t really help you on where to get work done on it. I get my parts from mini4x4.ca All the mechanical work I’ve done myself so far. If I hear of anyone that works on them I’ll pass it on!!

Thanks Titus, I appreciate your help. Based on what I have read on the various threads on this forum, I was expecting to do some of the mechanical and most maintenance work myself but just in case I run into something beyond my abilities it would be nice to know that there was someone who was knowledgeable/experienced that I could take the truck to if needed.

The local atv shop did some good work on mine. I have a Daihatsu S110, with the 660 engine. Turns out they used to put them in ArticCat atvs.

Hey, more Saskies! I'm up in Prince Albert, but I farm down south by Assiniboia. I had a Honda ACTY until I totaled it by hitting a deer at highway speed. Just picked up a 93 Suzuki Carry dump that I'm having a nightmare with to get running right. I also have a 96 Suzuki Carry 2wd for parts, if anyone needs anything.

I used to buy all my parts from West Shore Auto in BC but he was always just so hard to actually get an order through to. I bought my last couple orders from Rocky Mountain Imports, also in BC, and so far they have been great. As for getting parts in SK, there is a guy up in PA here who has a goldmine of parts, but the unfortunate thing is they're totally disorganized right now so he doesn't know where anything is - hopefully he gets it sorted out.

Mini4x4.ca also has lots of parts in stock in Quebec. Purchased lots from them now and they have pretty good prices. Just have to talk to the one person who speaks English there!!

Jigs, jaxondes and Cole, thanks for the reply's. I've already ordered parts online from West Shore Auto...2 separate orders and both arrived in about a week...even just before Christmas...;) Unfortunately it was so bloody cold here that I never got around to putting them on (my Scrum is sitting in an unheated garage:( and I don't want to break anything that I don't have to). Maybe I'm going about it the wrong way, but all I get is "NEW WEBSITE COMING SOON!!" whenever I try to access Rocky Mountain Imports online:oops:. I've also looked at Mini4x4's website before my last order with West Shore, but the site said that most of the stuff I needed wasn't in stocko_O. That said, I will certainly keep trying with them.

Btw jaxondes, my Scrum was originally imported by D&D Imports from PA.

Oh I see. I have never ordered online with mini4x4 I have always just called. But there are definitely a few good places in the country to get parts! That's always a plus.

I had imported a truck in from Japan, and had Mini4x4 do all the work to it. They are a legitimate company, very friendly, and yes you need to ask for Marlene if you want to speak english
