I have just purchased my first minicab after wanting one for quite a while. I've done thread searching and still can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I have a LHD 2wd former marine mini. I'm trying to find a few different things, 1 what year it is. Seatbelts were removed before i acquired. 2. Any info on carb rebuilding like kit purchase location. 3. Transmission is a 3spd but I can only find 2 gears. I've read they put a lock out to prevent getting into 3rd for the speed limiting? Also I have a beyond soft clutch petal. I'm assuming I need a replacement but am unsure until I resolve my carb issue but any insight on a replacement for that as well will be excellent.
Yours is a 1992. The clutch cable has some adjustment at the floor pan. Remove the cir-clip on the cable, pull the cable down and reinstall the clip.
You should have at least three gears. Possibility of four if there is an (F) in your model number on the plate under the seat. If there is a P, it's hopelessly a 3 speed.
If you can find the Pinion/main drive that is cut for the synchronizer to slide over you can make your 3 speed a 4 speed easy I did it to one of my trucks long ago
