I searched for pics but they seem to be held captive by photo company. My Carry has a drain plug on the Dif and I assume that drains both trans and dif. I see a fill plug on dif and one on trans. The fill plug on dif is on the back of dif. The trans fill plug is on right side (driver) of trans. From reading other post I understood that by filling trans the dif is filled at the same time. I am trying to understand why there are two fill plugs, one at dif and other at trans. Hope this is not too confusing, I don’t have a shop manual yet and don’t want to make a mistake. Thanks in advance for your help.

I hope you're calling the transfer case the dif,in which case you're right. The diff are at the ends of the truck. It'
s been a while but as I remember trans and transfer have a common drain but separate fill plugs. It's pretty simple just fill til they start to ooze out and that's good.

Thanks Jim, don’t know what I was thinking, I just checked the front and rear diffs before I typed that message?? You are correct, I intended to say transfer case . I just didn’t understand why they would have a fill plug on both. I topped the trans off today but plan to drain and replace the gear oil tomorrow so I will know what is there. I will pull both fill plugs and wait for the drips. Thanks again for reading between the lines and helping out.
