Another note--if you do a timing belt and water pump, make sure to manually fill the upper radiator hose with coolant. And then also use the air bleeder screws to bleed out the system. Otherwise, the coolant wont circulate properly, and you will overheat fast.

Where is the air bleeder screw located on 1998 Suzuki. I recently tore heater hose loose and had to replace and just filled with 50/50 Antifreeze and notice it running a little warm. I might need more information to check that out as a possible solution.

    Thanks.

Bleeder should be on the top of the engine right in the center towards the front. The brace where the shifter sits makes it a bit tight to get to, but not horrible.

    For a 2003 DA63T Suzuki Carry:

Air filter: Fram CA6807 will fit but not the best. It's slightly larger and you must force it in. Seems to seal OK though. I'd recommend getting the correct "Micro WA134" filter. The original Suzuki part number is 13780-81AA0.

Oil filter: Hastings LF410, Puralator PL14476, Wix 51394

    Ignition coil

Advance Auto came up with an ignition coil that fits. From a 1992 Daihatsu Charade. Made by BWP part number E726P.

It is slightly thicker than the stock coil, but fits the existing mount. Both leads match and fit.

    Carry oil filter

NAPA has the oil filter here in Canada. They list the proper NAPA brand oil filter (made by Wix) PN 1306 at $10.59
For the air filter it looks like you may have to get one from one of the suppliers on the board.

    I have an 89 Carry DB41T - 211891
    Type M-DB41T
    Engine F5B 547cc.
    Colour 26U
The guy I bought it from changed the motor to a 660cc.

Question ;1- Is the DB41T the 550cc and the DB51T the same truck but with the DB51T just having the 660cc eng.
2- My trucks Eng decal says F5B that too I believe to be the 550cc eng., now that I have a 660cc in the truck would it be a F6A ? Or are there differences and if so is there a place on the eng. I might be able to find it's S/N ?
    Thx for your time !

I found a k&n oil filter that is the exact same diameter as the original. The center thread fits nice and the filter is a bit over an inch longer than the one i pulled out. Its k&n HP-1002.
Fits my 94 suzuki carry with 660 non turbo
Now just need the right air filter

Ok, I did a ton of research looking at all oil filter options. In my '95 carry I measured the threads on the filter housing and they are indeed 3/4x16 AND NOT METRIC M20x1.5. I bought both standard thread and metric thread filters as well just to test and the metric was so loose there is no way anyone with any mechanical experience would deem that correct or safe. I ended up using the Wix 51348 oil filter. It is larger in diameter and taller but the seal and everything seats perfect on the filter housing. Do not use a metric thread filter on these!

Also for anybody looking at this in the future, the front differential seal for a dd51t f6a is TCM 35X55X11TC-BX NBR for what i used, 11 bucks on amazon, just be careful to have a large enough socket to push it in nice

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BUU8LYK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They were 7 bucks now 11, Carbon Steel Oil Seal, TC Type, 1.378" x 2.165" x 0.433" or 35x55x11 metric, i have had them in for a couple hundred miles so far no leaks. Also for CV joint boots i bought 4 Norrec fast boot universal kits and had to cut off the first too large part of the boot. On amazon they are $22: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002OPR2IC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. They come with grease and clamps and clamp tightening tool that sucks at first but once you get the hang is all right. As i recall, it was a PIA to get the half shafts in, you have to keep the retaining clip/ring upright or something so that you can push it all back in.

Great stuff here. Thanks for starting this Carry92 and thanks for everyone else's contributions.

I see that there are alternatives (e.g. WIX 33470) to the OEM fuel filter (i.e. 15410-50F00, the one between the fuel tank and the fuel pump), but I was wondering if anyone may have a cross reference for the filter on the return line (i.e. 15430-75D00, Tank, Fuel Reserve filter)? I see our friends at Yokohama have indicated that "Often forgotten tank return fuel filter that if plugged can cause the carburetor bowl to flood or backup causing rough running." These are symptoms my truck is exhibiting so I want to eliminate that variable.

I’m looking for the seal on a 95 dd51t 4x4 front wheel bearing. The inner one. Figured I’d trash the numbers getting it out.

Trying to find parts for my Suzuki Jimny I came across a cool way to cross part numbers.

    Niparts.com

FWIW, the pilot bearing crosses to a Federal Mogul 100-CC4 available at any auto parts store. If you can get away with just a clutch disc then the Geo Metro is listed as the correct disc once you cross the factory part number to a Hyundia part number, and then the Hyundai part number gives a listing for Exedy SZD036U which Exedyusa lists for a Metro 1.0L and identical specs to the factory part.. This is untested of course but it should fit and work.

So also, the clutch allignment tool for a Metro is also right for a Carry

    Hello all,

I'm in need of a throttle cable for my '94 DD51T.
I was hoping to find a cheaper replacement locally as the cheapest carry specific cable I've found is about $120.
If anyone can provide some insight, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sean
