and also (we are really struggling here, not being the most mechanical anyway), but what are the two (2) gas lines going into the carb? apparently the fuel sending unit has quit so we're planning to put an electric fuel pump on but dont quite understand why so many gas lines ? thanks in advance
Kevin, I looked up your vin and could not find any info on your truck. I used https://partsouq.com to look it up. That's were I found my info. Within the forum some say to check the seat belt tags for a mananufacture date to get you close. Mine is a 1996 so the engine is different than the one you have. Good luck in getting yours going. That VIN is incomplete, and the Applied Model is wrong too. The "02199" probably has a 1 in front of it, being "102199", and then there is the other three numbers before it.. probably KT2- or something along those lines. "KT2-102199" would be a valid VIN for a 4th gen Sambar for sure. As for the applied model, the first three are the same as the three numbers before the VIN, so something like KT2D34A would also be valid. As for the year.. the 4th character indicates the "type" which is sort of akin to our "model years". Being that it is a D, that would be the 4th type bringing you to late 1985 or early 1986 depending on the exact build date.
