I have a 2000 Carry. I like others want to find replacement struts. Short of just going to the parts store and looking for something close, how does one find the dimensions of struts? Suzuki used a strut with a spring that is approximately 5" at the base and 3" up top. They only did this for a couple years, but it causes interference problems when going to a larger tire. I want a strut that the spring diameter does not change. I want a strut, even if I have to modify it, from something that is close. The pontiac firefly and chevy sprint struts look close. My concern is getting a strut that has a greater (or shorter) range of motion than the stock struts and causing new problems. Any thoughts?
Did you ever have any luck finding a strut?.. I have a 2001 Suzuki carry that came with mix matched struts.. I was hoping to find an aftermarket one over here as well.. the original ones are brutal expensive
