    Hey everyone!
I have a DD51T that is driving me CrAzY!
Ill start with when i bought it and how it done then. I bought the truck about 5 months ago. When i bought the truck, the own told me it smoked a little bit when cold. But even when i went to look at the truck it had VERY LITTLE smoke coming from the tail pipe.
I got the truck home and the previous owner had put a new carb on the truck and the vacuums were all wrong. Finally got all the vacuum lines right and thats when things started going down hill. But even at this point, i wouldnt even say the truck smoked but very little. Well, a buddy borrowed the truck one day and brought it back with the tranny stuck in reverse. Pulled the tranny and found the carrier bearing to had jumped of track. Put the truck back together and smoke was getting worse. Ran seafoam threw it. Got worse. Changed the oil, got worse. new plugs (checked spark) and rebuilt the carb, smoke got even worse! Thought is was a fuel problem and was flooding out so i put a fuel regulator on it AND even bought a new carb! It now looks like 007 smoke screen!
Tried 10w-30 oil, tried 10w-40 oil, New plugs are very black with less then a hour run time on them (not really like a oil wet black, but just burnt black). Compression test was great! 180 185 185. Smoke is white in my eyes, but theres sooooo much of it i really cant tell what color it wants to be . I havent ran the truck enough to really say if it is using oil or coolant. 80% sure its not using coolant. I have tried capping all vacuum ports off and have checked the CCV and all seems good. no blowback threw the oil dip stick.
Im not really a "Parts Changer" type person but this truck is turning me into one! I did undercoat the truck ( Just throughing random things out that ive done just incase) Tested the egr valve. Played with the timing. Tried pulling plug wires one at a time to check for firing, all seemed great.
Now with all that said, it has to be the valve seal cups..... Right?

    Update.
Tore motor down. Sent head off to get checked out, new valve seals and so on. Heads was in good shape. They did take very little off the bottom but not much at all. Reinstalled head today with ofcourse all new gaskets, pulled the pistons and rings and I could tell that they were practically brand new. Someone else has been playing the chase game before me I think.
    Got all together.... same thing!!!!!!!!

Coolant is getting in this thing somewhere and it's about to drive me insane!!!!! I'm thinking maybe the intake manifold. Considering how the coolant flows threw it to get everywhere
