I recently replaced the fuel filter on my hijet and I thought my starting problems were over but now it won't start when it's wet out. Fine when it's dry. Why? My depth of basic mechanics is shallow so any ideas where to start would be helpful. Thx

Moisture can collect on the plug wires and dist cap and cause individual misfires or total failure to get firing voltage to the Sparkplugs. I Would recommend doing a good complete tune-up which may require replacement of the cap & wires depending on their condition, along with all the other requirements of a good tune-up.

Like Fred said. You can use a spray bottle on a dry day and mist them and you may see the arcing.

Do it at night. If it is arcing it will look like a thunder storm

SAV, Go to www.teammightyboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2738 then under the Mechanicals section you can download a vehicle manual. This manual may not be for the exact vehicle you have but if you read & study it you can become familiar with the basics of most all the older vehicles (Prior to everything being computerized) and you will obtain some knowledge that it seems you need.

Please do not take this in a wrong way but it just seems by your posts that you are lacking in some fields of knowledge concerning vehicles.
