94’ HH3 having power steering issues. I got the van recently and have the center link pulled to replace the bushing that seems to be common on these. So I went ahead and pulled the rack to clean and grease it. An issue I had noticed before and thought was rack or bushing related has shown to be in the upper column. Upon pulling the cover, I’ve found that there is some sort of electric power steering assist. That appears to be causing the issue. (Issue being choppiness or notched feeling when turning the steering wheel) I can’t find a fuse for it, or any information online about it. I have done a forum search as well. I’m hoping that someone here can give me more info on that system and/or issues with the system, or possible fixes. Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi my name is Hap I also have an HH3 with power steering. yes you are right it does always kind of feel a bit notchy. The fuse to turn this system off is the 30Amp fuse located at the top left side of the fuse panel. If you plan to drive on the freeway it helps to make it a tad less touchy. I am actually about to delve into that center link bushing myself and my best advise for the notchiness would be to try and get to where the grease part of that system is and clean out and apply new grease. I have yet to do this but I would assume that this should help.
