Does anyone know the proper power steering fluid for a 1993 Mitsubishi Bravo U41V model? Automatic transmission as well.

Ever find an answer? Internet doesn't have much on these Bravo vans!

I'm going with power steering fluid in regards to the 4A30 motor on my 95 U44 Bravo Power Steering system.

I can't find the info anywhere but the reality is the cap says use power steering fluid so that pretty much solves the problem. It would most likely indicate if it should be ATF. Either way should be fine on these older systems but I'm going with whatever name brand modern PS fluid is on the shelf .

The older models with the other engine may be different but typically the cap should indicate what you need.

This is response I got direct from lead mechanic at "Mitsui" (where you ordered my van).

Trans fluid is Pennzoil LV multi vehicle use . See pics...

This thread was for Power Steering.

In regards to the transmission fluid, it looks like what you suggested is fine and is just a universal transmission fluid. Any DEX III or higher fluid should be fine. My vehicle came to me with fluid that was black and watery. 2-3 flushes and it's good as new.
