Took another trip to Norris last weekend and rode the Coal Creek Rec Area again. Did 36 miles off road on Sat. They've had some good rain and we had to cross some pretty deep water a couple of times. At one point I was in some 26-28" deep water and made it out, several times we came upon quads up on the trail and they couldn't believe that little truck made it up there... The guard at the main entrance said it was the first one they'd had there. Some pics and vids.

We had just come thru this pool of water, deepest we crossed.

Deeper than my 23" tires. Something got wet and stalled but restarted.

okay.. WOW! That's absolutely incredible. I didn't realize that these could be so capable! Love the deep crossing vid! Crazy stuff. Thanks for sharing this, I wouldn't have known (I haven't been exposed to all the 4x4ing mini stuff yet!)

They will definitely surprise you. You can't go flying down rough stuff like a quad but as long as you're not in a hurry they will get you anywhere...and in comfort! At the end of a day on the trail my buddies were feeling it and I felt great. If you're going to buy one for rough offroading I would recommend one w/ hi-low range. If mine had it I would really be dangerous!

I'm a little surprised at how well you able to handle the mud with the All-Trails. I have those exact same tires on the front of my compact tractor and they seem to load up with mud. That's why I went with the tractor lug tires on mine. I might have to reconsider as I still have some extra All-Trails to play around with. :)

They will definitely load up in mud. Luckily there was no serious mud on this trip. I have had them packed back in my own woods. All in all though I think they are near perfect for these trucks, easy on turf, fairly quiet at speed on pavement, durable, and correctly weight rated.

I will have a snorkel before the next trip. Hydrolock is not an option...

My buddy always drove thru first on his quad so I could judge the depth.

Let me know when you go out there again. Thinking I need to load up and join you. That is... if you can tow me out if something breaks. ;) Def can't go on the next ride easter weekend. They don't have a noise ordinance do they? My junk is loud!

There were V8 jeeps crawling the boulder fields w/ very little exhaust, I think you'd be ok. I'll have my Dodge and car trailer there. One neat thing about the place is you can get a regular vehicle all through the place on gravel to get near the tough trails.

I'll let you know next time we go.
