Now that my van happily moves ,
It’s time for some deep tissue massage on the left front door and a little clean up of the front bumper scratch’s and color correction on that and the rear bumper plus a slight crease right behind the sliding door
To save some $$ I’m doing the R&R of the trim, door panels, mud flaps and other things that the body shop wanted out of the way . This is a high end shop ( takes care of all the cars for the local Mercedes, jags, bemmers, etc) so everything I take out of the way is less time I’m charged . Plus I’m able to tell them everything I want done and what I’m expected And they are used to doing everything I’m asking because of the dealers work has to be top notch . Not cheap , but I’m sick of using a “friend of a friend“ and “getting a deal“ and it sits for months, It’s looks horrid, and half the parts are missing bolts are wrong cause they just picked them up off the floor/another car etc.
I drop it off Monday and should be done in lass then a week . 415EA7A8-EB50-4D81-929E-32A5DB9AAFD4.jpeg 464E86CF-3F79-4F48-BC10-A286A3E4903C.jpeg

It was like the roach coach ( food truck) pulled up at the body shop When I dropped off my van this morning. The whole shop cleared out and the local MB parts delivery guy dropping off stuff stopped . They all thought it was the coolest little thing they’ve seen even with it sort of naked and this is a shop that works on $100k+ cars all the time .
Hoping to have it back within a week :)

Mine needs similar work. Passenger door is dented in the exact same way but even worse. A dozen other blemishes and rust spots scattered around. I'll be curious to find out how much you end up paying and what all you end up getting done.

Picked up on Friday , put most of it back together that evening, need to make a new vapour barrier for the door as the old one was just falling apart no matter how gentle I was with it . Came out great , happy I had it done .

A heavy duty shower curtain liner was cut to fit as my new vapour barrier On the passenger side front door . Before installing and buttoning up the door I sprayed the inside of the door with a nice layer on fluid film since they were spot wielding studs on the door to pull the dents. Figured it’s not going to hurt .
The last thing I want to fix is the drivers seat vinyl on the door side bottom is cracked and split so I’ll pull the seat out and take just the base in for repair and should be ready in about a day or so .
That’s the last cosmetic item I need done so I’ll be good hopefully on the shiny and pretty side for awhile.
