      Thanks for the information. I am trying to determine which 14" wheels will fit and believe 5.5 would be the limit. (I want to keep the wheels inside the fenders.) Do you happen to know the specific model # of the American's you have?

      I didn't do anything but bolt them on. It's at stock ride height and the 175/65-14s clear everything just fine. The acceleration suffered slightly with the larger circumference tires, as expected, but drivability remains good.

      I'm not sure what the width or offset on the wheels is. It's a fairly high offset - the mounting face is toward the outside of the wheel. I believe the wheels are 5 to 6 inches wide... didn't measure them, though.
