Hi all, new acty owner. I would like to put bigger wheels on the acty and maybe lower it an inch or 2 possibly. Also I would like a bit of tire poke. Can anyone with experience point me the right direction in regards to sizing please.

You are totally looking in the wrong spot for that sort of fabrication. We usually lift for clearance not lower. Man you need to see some of the japanese truck forums . They are more your style I think

Although to be fair. There was a post a few months ago of some fellow doing what you talked about. Hang low my friend

I have been searching high and low. Not a lot of info out there on this subject. I'm spending the day finding a wheel tire combo and test fitting a few different options. I will post my results if anyone is interested. I will also be doing an exhaust in the coming days so I will post my results with that as well. Again if anyone is interested.

Ill be doing something similar with my van. There isn't much info around in English. my plan is to run 14" wheels with 165/55/14 tires.

Actys aren't the easiest to lower. There isn't much suspension travel, so lowering springs for the front basically make it sit on the bump stops. terrible terrible ride. Ill be contacting Koni at some point with my measurements and see if they have anything that would fit. Then for the rear, ive seen a lot of people get custom leaf springs, and then C notch the "frame" in the rear to get it low. That will most likely be my plan.

Got some wheels today. They need new tires but fit. I will get new tires tomorrow. A bit of poke but I will address that with fenders. Going for the wide body look. We will lower it in the coming months. Here's a pic in case anyone is following along. IMG_4595.JPG

Ok so after a few day of driving on the new wheels I feel there a bit big for the truck. I don't mind the poke but it's a bit much with these wheels. Reminds me of the Amaracans donk look. Lol there is only a tiny bit of rub but only with a heavy driver and in a turn over a curb. I'm going to try some 0 offset 13's tomorrow. I will report my findings if anyone is following along. With the 15's I don't think there is much room to lower.

Ok found some different wheels that work nice. 13x6 0 offset. Still some poke but much better. The tires that are on them now rub a bit at full lock but we will be going to a lower profile tire so it will be perfect. This wheel gives me plenty of room to lower. Also we have decided on custom made air struts up front and I'm still deciding on the rear. It will be air also just not sure what direction on the setup. Pretty limited in how it can be done in the rear...... I can't seem to upload a picture at this time. It says the file is to big. Not sure how to compress it on an iPhone.

What size wheels and tires did end up going with? I'm wanting to do a similar low rider kind of thing with mine too. I'm also looking for a body kit!
