I went through Rick McClain with Best Used Tractors. I forget the brand because you can probably find it locally and save on shipping. They are rubber and make sure you use small screws with washers. I can give you the size I used if needed.

I think I need to do some minor adjusting on it near the carb to prevent it from stalling out when I release gas to go to brake. Maybe I've missed something and all I need to do is turn a screw on the carb instead of the throttle linkage nuts.
Was the "drumming" noise added or it it something on the truck? Looks good man. I think I would just turn the idle screw up a bit after she is warmed up to running temp.
The drumming noise was the chains hitting the bed sides etc. I have since put a rubber hose around the chains and it solved that issue. Which one is the idle screw?

Dove season opened here today but I have no land in that zone so must wait a few more weeks... By that time I will already be killing ducks. Currently I am waiting on a trailer to come in from a local dealer. I wanted something tandem with brakes so I could haul it up to Colorado from Texas and not worry about it. Once I have the trailer it's game on.
Nice!!!. I really can't wait to get mine done and road ready again.......my starter went out so I tore neck deep into making front bumper/skid plate/receiver to run place the entire plastic bumper. Its one heck of a bight I took hahaha
I don't drive it on the road but yes they are noisy when driving on concrete or asphalt but nothing I am not used to driving lifted Jeeps with boggers on the streets lol.
I have been able to get it out in the field 3 times so far and it has performed flawlessly. The back end likes to slide on the gravel county roads. I think once I add the aluminum rack and seats she will be perfect. I was able to get liability insurance for the truck through my provider which was good. Foremost and Progressive said no.
Well the last 15 days have been spent out in the flooded fields, sweating my you know what off throwing out decoys to shoot 6 birds each morning. Teal season is over for Texas but I managed a good photo of my dog & I the other day, truck is in there too so why not post it. This month, with the season closed right now, we will start construction on the benches / seats and racks for the rear of the carry. I'm no welder so I had to enlist the help of my buddy who will handle all of that.
Thanks, she's getting up there now 9 year old English Lab but every time she hears the alarm at 0330 she flips it into a different gear. Here's the truck crossing some small ruts with water near a gate out on the property. Nothing special but action shots are always fun and make good clips for a bigger video which is my plan... Conveniently / Unfortunately (however you want to look at it) I have other obligations this weekend which will keep me from helping. Personally, I'm hands on and would have loved to helped. Schedules did not work out. The whole rack with seats & basket weighs roughly 65lbs. I will have it powder coated a black crinkle finish that I like and she will finally be done! Just in time for big duck season too! Hope to share more photos of the progress as I get them this weekend.
Little update here. I picked up the rear rack for the suzuki today and delivered it to the powder coater. My buddy did a great job fabbing this rack he even added some beverage holders! Up next are the seats and then she will be ready for the season.
You're probably not that far off. I don't think it hit 80 but over 60. I had to pick it up by myself yesterday to get it on the trailer and I'm feeling it today lol.
I think it was around $500 in materials. $150 to powder coat. Just for reference local boat builders and T Top builders quoted $2,500- 3,000 for this project. I came out way ahead as my buddy isn't charging me labor. Probably be another $150 for the vinyl seats and cushions from the upholstery shop.
WEA you have a nice looking vehicle and that rack adds a very nice touch. I want to see powder coat finish once your done. that is somewhat the way I want mine to look when its finished.
I picked up the rack at the powder coater on Monday and seats were installed Friday and Saturday. She is now ready for duty.
