    Hello everyone,
I'm checking this forum out constantly on my device. Anyone thought of making this into an iPhone app?

They've just come out with an update to vBulletin that's more like an forum app.

For those of us not so advanced, can you tell me what to look for in the app store? Or please tell me how to check it with the iphone besides just using safari?

As far as the iPhone goes, if you go to the forum website in safari, you can then create a shortcut to the phones home screen and then next time you just need to hit the link you made.

Look for an app called ForumRunner http://www.forumrunner.com/ is their website. They have a free version and paid version. I've just added the mini truck website to their listings, so now everyone can use their app to view the forum. It looks good!

Hopefully it's better than Tapatalk. I downloaded it to my phone but I really don't like the layout as much. BUT WORSE, whenever I do go (in Safari) to forums that support Tapatalk, it keeps asking me if I want to use Tapatalk. If you hit "OK" it just takes you to the Tapatalk page. And it will do this EVERY TIME you load a new page in that forum. Grrrrr...

    I do what Deanclean does.

Yeah try forum runner, it seem pretty nice to me, everything was readable and I though easy to navigate too.

I'm not happy with it. First, I had to pay for it. Only two bucks but basically it's the only way I can now access the forum from my iPhone since the little "hey, we have an iPhone app" message pops up every single time you do ANYTHING! I like to see all the most recent posts and I don't care for the way Forum Runner apparently does it. I was used to the fact that for some reason I was not able to stay logged in with the regular Safari version but it was handy for quickly viewing the forum activity; if something needed moderating, I could always pop over to the PC or do it later.

    Not a fan. :(

Pay? They have a free version, thats the one I used. I just searched that app store for forumrunner and the free one was an option. I never get a popup, where's the popup?

So yesterday I went to view the site in Safari. I immediately get a popup "Get our iPhone app for easier viewing......" This comes up with EVERY page reload. If you hit OK it takes you to the app store for the paid version only. If you hit cancel it will just keep popping up every single time with no option to opt out. Just like all those forums that now support Tapatalk (that I also now have to avoid on my iPhone). I'm an old dog not liking being forced to learn new tricks.

And I don't want to force anyone into anything either, I just added for the people that wanted to use it. Very strange I don't get any popups at all, I'm looking in the admin section and I don't see anything that would pop up. That would be annoying.

Okay I found the damn pop up and killed it. So no more of that crap. Sorry about that, they don't tell you about that crap.

Yay! I'm happy now. And I'll probably get used to the Forumrunner too. Thanks for looking into it though. Wish more site admins would do that!;)

P.S., I remember exactly why I went ahead and got the paid version. It sounded as though with the free version you wouldn't be able to see all the thumbnails and things.

Hey no problem, I try to help where I can! When you said popup I was like, I don't want that crap on my page! hehe

Hmm I though I was looking at the attachments with the free one, but maybe not. I'll have to look again.
