First answers that came to my mind were all smartass, but decided to give the real answer. LOL

Need to lift the rear of the top truck a bit with a forklift or tractor or something, then drive the back trk off, then let the top trk down and ramp it off of the frt trk. Whew! That was alot of work!!! :D:D:sly: I am thinking of seeing what would happen if I drove the rear trk out without lifting the top trk---- maybe no damage???

What I need is a trailer about 1-2' longer so I could piggy back 3.

BTW- 2 trucks fit perfectly on an 18' trailer end to end.

That's a thoughtful and articulate posting, especially for a Japanese mini truck forum. I suppose it should not be unexpected based on your registered screen name. And the fact it's your first and only posting to the forum to date. I shouldn't fall victim to the enticements of an underground rodent, but here goes....

I own 3 Powerstroke F-250's, one 7.3L and two 6.0L. I also own a Duramax 2500HD. And as you have surmised I also own a 5.7L 2007 Tundra long bed DCab. All the other pickups here are half tons or mini trucks. I have no particular emotional attachment to any of the brands. Well, I do have a detachment from Dodge RAM, which I refuse to buy because of quality issues, and not because it is classified an "import" under current parts content labeling regulations.

Here are what I have discovered:

5.7L Tundra Gas: Great bosses truck and fantastic performer. State of Texas listed mine as a 3/4 ton on the title because of it's carrying capacity. It's more like a "half ton and a half". And it's made in San Antonio (raw metal going in one end of the plant and pickup trucks coming out the back). It has a higher domestic parts content than two out of three "domestic" brands.

7.3L Powerstroke is the winner when it comes to towing. Duramax is a very close second. Tundra is third. And a 6.0L Powerstroke with a little red wagon hooked to it's hitch is an EGR cooler bomb waiting to explode at any moment.

I have bought 3 GM pickups in the last two months. Not due to brand loyalty, but because they were the right tools at the right price for my fleet. Our old Duramax is fantastic (thanks to Isuzu's engine design). And the 5.4L Ford gas engine and 6.0L GM gas engine are fuel hogs.

The Tundra is a dream to drive with high quality finish. Unfortunately the new Tundra isn't quite as up to snuff with respect to fit and finish as previous Toyota vehicles. But it's still better than Ford or GM. But not by much and if Toyota and Ford/GM keep up their current trends there will not be much quality difference soon. The 5.7L V8 combined with a 6-speed tranny is fantastic combination. And it pulls my 6.0 Powerstrokes to the dealer to get fixed with great aplomb.

I have known Allan Mullaley, Ford's CEO, since we worked together at Boeing in Seattle. He's a great guy and I was highly encouraged when he was hired by Ford. My admiration for Allan paints my warm feelings toward Ford (similar to yours).

I had the opportunity to test drive the new 2009 Ford F-150 last summer prior to it's public release and was happy to see many of the features of the new Tundra addressed by Ford. It's a great truck, albeit with ponderous boxy look with beaded panel styling.

So I really don't have any emotional opinions on brands (save Dodge). I just go by our real-world experiences with different vehicles. Brand loyalty is great but one must be careful it does not blind.

Just like the reason for this Japanese Mini Truck forum you're now part of, I'd like to see some more availability of overseas practical vehicles in the US market. That's why you joined the forum. Right?

P.S. I guess this would be a bad time to point out I own and fly a Red Chinese military aircraft for recreation....
