I have been looking for 99-up with a/c. Have not seen any specifying diff lock. Do they not offer it, or do they all have it, or are they just really hard to find? I have also noticed that very few specify having Hi AND Low range. Thanks, Bud
I have a 99 Suzuki Dump with diff lock but NO a/c but it doesn't get too bad up here in NY in the Summer so shouldn't bother me. Darin

Hey Guys, in reading all the post with regards to Axle lock and Diff Lock I,m starting to get confused. I have a 1995 Suzuki with both Axle and Diff Lock, I paid $4,850 for the truck with about 60K miles on it. I could have bought one with lower milage, without the lockers, cheaper but that's not what I wanted. I can only explain how my 95 works, not trying to say anybody is wrong, but I know how mine works. First off, the "Axle Lock" on mine controlls the "rear axle" locking both wheels together as any aftermarket locker would do on a full size truck. Think of it this way, axle lock refers to locking the "rear axle" on the truck, it's the only true axle on the truck, ie. solid "rear" axle. This is done when the truck is placed in 4H, the light on the switch comes on and can be disengaged by pushing the switch, one wheel pulling while still in 4H or 4L for that matter.As for as the "Diff Lock" it locks both wheels in the front together on my truck for true 4WD, all 4 wheels pulling. You can feel both wheels pulling, especially when turning.This can be checked by crossing a ditch at an angle, without lockers opposite front and rear wheels will spin with no forward progress. I'm not a "know it all" I just know how mine works, can't speak for anyone else.
Sowsticker, My thoughts.... I'm pretty sure you are misatken on the axle lock being for the rear, its actually for the front, diff. lock is for the rear. In all the research and discussion here there has been nobody that has one that will lock the front axle where both tires will pull no matter what. This has been verified by the Suzuki dealer in Japan, axle lock for front, diff. lock for rear. Axle lock does nothing more than lock the front end in, thus allowing the power delivered through the front drive shaft to be delivered to the wheels. Like locking the hubs on a domestic truck (i.e. older chevy's, jeeps, etc...) Diff. lock does lock the rear axle making both tires pull no matter what. Mine has axle lock, and there are times when it appears and even feels like, and even does, both front tires pull....however with restriction to one of the tires it will stop, and only one truly pulls. Have you jacked your truck up off the ground, or hooked it up to a tree with a log chain and put it in low lock? If you have a truck that all 4 tires will pull no matter what then it appears you have something that nobody else does and I would be interested in buying it asap , payment in cash....
2001 with diff loc LE-DA62T CARRY HAS HI- LO and push button diff loc. check with ATV truck.com he seems to get nice trucks with diff locs and hi lo . most mini truck dealers will special request a truck if you let them know what you want. I want my speed limiter gone and I really want a super charger. This truck with nuts would be too much fun. Good luck on your search, hope this helps.
Don't know about your "zuki", but on our Subaru, it was on the driver's (right) side on the frame about halfway back, facing out............
