Bill, I'm from Swift Current, Sask. I started selling these in November. I started out with 3 Suzukis and a Mitsubishi. The Mitsubishi, I camoed, lifted and installed Carlisle All-trails on. I licensed a 1992 Suzuki, and sold a 1991 to a local fellow who thinks it's great!! He also licensed his.

The Suzuki is by far the most popular make. It seems to me that the 1992 has a slighty larger cab thanr the 90 and 91. The Mitsubishi's cab is as comfortable as the 92 Suzuki.

I have heard comments that a Mitsubishi is slightly better at off-roading than the others, but I couldn't say that for sure myself.

I think that parts availabilty is better for a Suzuki than the others in our particular area, given that a lot of the small GM cars are Suzukis and that there are some Samuri's around that likely have some interchangable parts as well.

If you are over 6' tall and 260 lbs you might not be the most comfortable in them for long periods. If so, then perhaps a Diahatsu Jumbo might suit you better.

Be well aware that not all these trucks are in the same condition, I searched out the best ones to bring in, and beleive me, some of the lower-priced ones aren't worth it. All of mine are good runners. The two that got inspected and licensed only required daytime running lights to pass.

You've got a dealer in PA who's a member on this forum. I think he has several different ones in stock that you could look at for yourself. I'm going to be in PA on Wednesday myself getting my truck lettered.

If all you want is 1 truck, then just buy the best one you can find.

You can get burned bad if you hook up with the wrong exporter.
They want their money up front, and rightly so....

Customs and shipping can be a nightmare if it's not something you are well versed at, the container can be sent back or the contents destryed (at your cost) if things aren't up to snuff.....cleanliness, paperwork, etc.... (don't want to scare you, but it's happened)

You'll be into a container for at least $30,000 by the time it arrives.....10 or 12 weeks later.

Check out the stock at D&D, he's right there, been in the business for a while, he will give you the support you need, when you need it, he's already done the learning curve.

If you want a $7,000 truck, he'll find you one of that quality, on the other hand, if your budget is $4,000, he can get that too, but you may not be completely satisfied. A decent one is likely going to run $5,000 plus.

Tires, wheels, lift kit, dump kit, bumpers, hitches, snowplow....I'm sure he can set you up that way too.

BLES wanted a higher end one than was available in Sask at the time, and he found one, he had to go a long ways for it. But he did his homework, and got what he wanted, and I'm sure he's very satisfied with it.

I'm kinda jealous of him, he's got some power in his unit!!!

Just the truth as I see it!!
