    Donald,
Since your in Muskegon, maybe you and Bob and Steven could get together and discuss these issues.

  2. Greg,

I'm in Florida which is neither here no there. However, based on the fact that you censored Bob's response on the tread I started here, http://www.minitrucktalk.com/showthread.php?t=3904, I'm guessing that you already know that Bob may not want to play nice with me. I did find it shocking that you deleted my reply to Bob as that may have make him happier with me since I am actually helping him and he just doesn't know. You may want to consider putting my post back online. I personally don't like to censor posts if at all possible. We're big boys and girls.

    Hello Donald,

It wasn't Greg that deleted your post. It was timetripper.

Why are you not letting the cat out of the bag yet. I mean you were posting how terrible it is that the information wasn't given out by other members but then now you actually aren't helping all the other members here by giving up your info. :( What did you find with your dealings with the EPA. The more information out here the better for EVERYONE. Do tell.

  4. Darin,

    Go to this post:

    http://www.minitrucktalk.com/showthread.php?t=3904

Call the EPA and read the statements I made, and listen to what they say. Then you'll have all of the information that you need. I even provided their phone number.

Again, this is all really simple, and I can guarantee that Mini Trucks are not going away any time soon so don't rush out and overpay for one because more are on the way.

Unfortunately, I've already been censored and locked so I'm not going to overstep the bounds of the powers that be. I've discovered what I wanted to learn, and I've provided the information that you need to do the same thing. The only thing that I did that was a little challenging was call the Men in Black in DC. But if I can do it, anyone can do it. After all, they are our Public Servants. I just hope that the latte moche I ordered will get here soon.

P.S. If it was timekeeper and not Greg that deleted my post, then my reference to the deleted post was intended for him and not Greg.

Then what about the men in black info? Can't you kinldy just release what is at the tip of your tongue. I know you want to so just cave in. :) :) I am telling you you have people on the edge of their seats and I for one am almost falling off. :)

Either post the information or drop it. This nonsense has been going on way to long. If you have information to share, share it! or quit posting the same old stuff. Its childish, boring and useless to people here at forum.

    Thanks! :D

  10. Donald Shimoda:

I forgive you for suggesting my fees were extortion. I forgive you for suggesting I “smooched the dark side of the government" (would that be bribery?). I forgive you for all of your dismissive insults you have made to date. And, if you deny that you have made any of the above, I forgive you for that also. I hope you can do the same with whatever like kind exchanges I made toward you.

I do not carry grudges. You will start from here on out with a clean slate. If you have a problem with me you are welcome to call or write your concerns. I try to build more bridges than I burn. Where about in Florida are you from?

We just sold our first 2008 Suzuki minitruck to a fellow in a western state. He is very excited to be able to buy the best of the best, the Suzuki Super Stalker. He is very pleased that the truck came with a warranty and an owner’s manual written in English.

If you get a chance take a look at our new prices. I have reduced nearly every unit. I think you may agree that our prices are no longer too high. If you show me other comparable units are still lower, then we will have to try harder yet.

    Peace,

    Bob

way to turn the other cheek, bob... HOORAY! keep up the good work on both fronts.

  12. Bob,

Nicely done. Allow me to second the motion on forgiveness.

I forgive you and I forgive myself and I even forgive the folks who are making it difficult to street legalize the coolest little trucks on the planet. There's always a reason behind problems or challenges so let's work together to make the situation the best it can be.

And congratulations on your first sale of a new 2008 Mini Truck. That's awesome.

And I hope your new pricing will help in the challenging economy we all find ourselves in.

    Rock on dude!

P.S. I rather liked what you called me on that last post that got altered and where my return post was deleted. I thought it was both creative and funny. Going forward, it's probably important to know that I don't take things all that seriously. I mean if I took things seriously, I certainly wouldn't drive a Mini Truck. People point and stare and laugh at me all day long! I'm just waiting for them to see the light and order their own Mini Truck.

I'm not a minitruck dealer or importer, but I would like to post in defense of all the dealers on this forum.

Anyone who is in the business of selling used minitrucks has to make some profit, or they will not be in business very long. I don't expect to buy a mintruck from a dealer for the same price that I might be able to get a similarly equipped truck from an individual, for the same reason that I don't expect to buy a used car from a dealer for the same price as an individual.

The value that the dealers add to the product is in their knowledge, parts and service support, upgrades, etc.

In my short time here on the forum, I have found all of the mintruck dealers to be extremely helpful, even though i didn't buy my truck from them.

For this, I would like to say "Thank You".

    Peace,
    -Doraville

  14. Doraville:

On behalf of all dealers everywhere I accept your thanks and humble acknowledgement of the value we bring to the marketing of these little trucks.

In today’s economy it is difficult to make a decision that is not based on price considerations. Fifteen years ago a businesses’ value was based on how well they treat their customers and how many customers were repeat customers. It was true then you could do many extra things for your customers to encourage business retention. Now, unfortunately most extras that you do for your customers have to be cost effective.

Many people are not interested in what you can do for them tomorrow they want to know what you are going to do for them today.

We and I am sure many other dealers on the forum, still try to balance our pricing considerations with servicing concerns so that the total package is a good buying experience for our customers. Thanks again for writing.

    Best of luck to you.

    Bob

  15. We received our first shipment of 2008 Suzuki Minitrucks on Saturday. We are washing them today. These trucks have come a long way from the first trucks we bought from Provide-Cars con.

When we first started we knew exactly nothing about these trucks. We bought from the pictures and the "condition report." In the beginning we did not have anyone physically checking for head-gasket, engine knock or other drivability problems. As a result the Provide Cars put us together several times before we started buying from our current suppliers. I say "we" because in the beginning I had a partner.

It was his idea to start Gung Ho Trucks. He is that sort of person that thinks about new stuff all the time. He has that Midas touch. I am pleased to have had the opportunity to have known him.

I will be posting new pictures in the next day or so. I noticed Suzuki moved the gas tank to the middle from the rear. I drove it around a bit. It seems way more powerful then the older trucks.

Congrats on the new shipment. Did you have any trouble getting them in? Also, are they still just a 660cc motor? I know that they have started to put bigger motors in the newer vans I figure it is just a matter of time before they start putting them in the trucks.

hello all. first and foremost i'd like to say i don't have any idea whatsoever on how car importation works and don't have any experience in this sort of business. i'd just like add my 2 cents in.

from what i have read though out this forum and from my own personal experience with these kei trucks/vans, i have noticed that almost every1 import these or use these vehicles for off-road uses and has been compared to little off-road vehichels used for hunting and whatnot. In actuality, these vehicles were made in japan and other countries for ON-road uses. They were developed to go through the tight streets of japan(and in my own experience, same types of streets in the Philippines). They'v been used by municipalities, utility services and small business owners transporting goods and equipment all over the country, though regular roads, unpaved roads and highways.

The way i see it is that these vehicles were imported here as such so that it won't hit our pockets as much. where else can u get an almost all around vehicle(no thanx to the limiter) for less than 6k? i for one would love to have it for daily driving purposes coz of what i have seen what these minis can do first hand. my only concern is the safety issues thats y if every1 else don't know, as of 1999, japan has put on a new safety/crash standards for these vehicles with a longer nose. these new models i won't mind buying and driving along our highways.

from my reads on New Jersey DMV registrations, all a vehicle has to do is pass safety and emissions which i know emission wise these vehicles can pass. safety, i don't know much but i know they are no less compared to the new Smartcars. i won't mind spending $10k to $12k for a new model of these types of vehicle instead of the older 90's model coz they r fuel efficient, fun to drive and can sure do more compared to alot of compact cars out there. I live in the city and this will be great for street parking (YAY!)

so, i'll just be patient with this and wait until someone can get them street legal. it might be soon. the new president is trying to boost new emissions standards and fuel consumption with new vehicles. this might be the ticket. but as i wait, i'm in the process of looking for a new suzuki carry 4x4 to purchase in the Philippines that i can use and have fun with when i go on my trips there(btw, u can get one there for a newer model for less than $4000 (^_~)..lol

Congrats on the new arrivals Bob. Can't wait to hear/see more about the new trucks!

  19. Hello GR Mike:

    Thanks.

We did not have any delays. It was within a couple of days of what we expected. There is more paperwork though so maybe that helps. I think after the first shipment it really starts to move.

They are still the 660 motor. Maybe they just seem perkier because they are new.

    Take care.

    Gunrock0811

I have read your post and I agree with some of the things you are saying. The new trucks are for off-road and they are not speed limited.

    Badgerland

Thanks. I think I will have time to post pics tomorrow. We will have a new Suzuki microvan on the next shipment.

Sweet!I love the trucks, but the vans always get my motor running a bit more! Can't wait for the juicy details!

  21. Thanks Andy:

We have a 2009 Suzuki Microvan coming around the end of February. If you are getting tired of your subtle yellow van and would like to trade for the serene, calming, luxury white color, please let me know.

  22. I took a few pictures. The diff lock is still by the emergency brake. The speedo is about the same. The gas tank is now in the middle. No more "Pinto" style gas tank. The motors are nice and shiney. The "Super Stalker" rough draft lable. Courtesy mud flaps that I am sure will be most effective and no major changes in the dash.

  23. Fantastic!

Great looking truck. The more photos the better. Let's see the whole truck.

Congratulations again on being either the first, or certainly one of the first, to get some brand spankin' new Mini Trucks. How cool is that!

Ha! My van is seriously so bright that when it's parked outside I can see it from a mile and a half away! It can't be missed!

The new stuff sounds really cool. I am always trying to convince people they need to buy on of these buggers, but as I'm sure you sellers know, getting interest and buyers are two very different things.

    -Andy

  25. Thanks.

Here are some full truck pictures. We are doing body lifts (suspension drops) on two of the new ones. It looks a bit more complicated because of the changes, but I think they will turn out nicely.

We did the plow truck recently. It isn't new, but I thought you might like to see it.

    Sweet!!!!

It's a thing of beauty. Ticks me off that here in Canada we have to wait another 15 years before we can get our mitts on one:mad:. Oh well I guess that we all have our bureaucratic messes to deal with:frustration:.
    Good luck with your sales!
    Jim

  27. Awesome looking trucks, Bob! Thanks for the photos.

What's been your experience with that plow package? Is it the Black Line? I've heard some people say that they aren't study enough. Has your experience been good on the ones you have sold?

  28. Yes, it is the Blackline. If you look closely at the way the plow is mounted you can see that we have modified it to be much stronger. Instead of the receiver coming out at the bottom edge of the bracket, it comes out higher which means that the screw drive motor is not extended to its weakest point and the plow assembly is lower to the ground.

Blackline says it is supposed to be 7-9 inches off the ground. I have found if we keep it between 7-11 inches our customers get good service from the plow and we don't get any call backs.

Also make sure the receiver bracket is the 2'' type instead of the 1 1/4". The 2" bracket is much stronger and I think the cost difference betwee the two brackets is fairly small.

    Bob

  29. Those sound like great modifications!
