Has anyone out there had to replace the front diff on there truck???
I know of three truck owners who have had problems with the front diff, mine will be coming out as soon as it warms up(90 carry) Any hints or tips to prevent this from happening again?
P.S I will post what actually failed in my diff as soon as I get new one installed:pop:

At one time I read that there was issues with the case breaking because of the CV axle binding when lifted. The issue was so common that there was talk of limited supply of front diffs. I'm not sure what the sysmtoms were.

I think Greg is right as there was a problem with lifted Zuki's and front diff's, however I dont remember exactly what the technical failure was (definitely attributed to CV's binding).

Tiny - is your truck lifted / if so, how much? What about the other owners trucks that you mentioned? It may define the pattern.

Mine has a 2" lift, other truck was on this form with 3" lift, other is a fellow who PM,d me with a factory truck. All are 90 suzies, My problems started before lift, steadily getting worse..
I started a post in Suzuki section called Annoying front end noise. got some feed back found out where noise is coming from.
I have the adjustable camber lift on the truck, had wheel alignment done after install.Seals & fluid changed on front diff, will consider removing lift if it will save the diff:eek:

The outer case??? My issue is internal grinding/ binding, the case itself is fine
I am assuming (yes out of you and me) that its the free wheel lock sleeve/hub

I looked but I can't find the thread. It was old. I think the outside of the case was breaking, but not 100% sure.

Don't think i'd be havin these issues if I was running the same set up as you!
hope the builds going well for you!
I think we are on the same post for diff issues, It was an old post back in "another lift kit causing problems" or some thing
Just don't want to replace the diff just to F it up again due to some oversight?
