A special 'Thanks' to MAXOUT for the posts that brought these tires to my attention

Here are photos of Deestone 23x8.50-12 6P SuperLug tires on 12x7 SG wheels. The photos are taken on my Sambar which is not lifted.

The tires state the max inflation pressure is 34 PSI. The wheels state the max inflation pressure is 25 PSI. The center caps are not installed as I was just checking fit. Note: The load capacity of these tires is 1445 lbs (as compared to most ATV tires having a load capacity of less than 400 lbs)

There are a number of vendors supplying these tires and wheels. I got mine from Greg at:

Looks pretty nice. You have a shot from further back? Nice how the wider rim gives you a wider footprint as opposed to those that have mounted similar tires on to stock rims.

I thought about these tires on stock 4" wide rims and was concerned with the stability or roll associated with what I think is too narrow of a rim for such a wide (section width) tire. That is why I went with the 7" wide rims.

I have taken this tire off for the time being and put my 14"s back on. In the very near future, I will post a whole series of photos of these 12" tires/wheels AND my 14"s here in the Subaru reference section.

Just curious--are you having one set of wheels/tires for on-road and the other for off-road?

Yep. It may be overkill, but that is what I have done. I can't see the hwy tires being any good off-road nor the off-road tires being any good on the hwy. In fact, I have 6 highway wheel/tire assemblies and the 4 off-road assemblies. The tires are directional and I wanted a spare for each side, in case I have a flat away from home. I am working on a way of making dual 'sidemounts' for the spares. I expect I will get two more of the off-road assemblies in the near future.

Of course, should I get the means to get a Retro Sambar from Jason, then I would have to get only two more highway assemblies to make a complete set for it.:D

    MAXOUT,
The Deestone tires I have (as shown in my photos at the beginning of this thread) are the same exact tires that you wrote about in the link you just posted. In fact, it was your posts that led me to Greg @ GCT Wholesale from whom I purchased my tires & wheels.

  9. Terry,

Don't you mean WHEN you get the means!?!?! And you might as well buy the matched set - truck and van! :)

Both your sets of wheels look great! I should have the other hard surface wheels and tires in soon. I'll let you know when they get here. I'll be out of town until 11/18, so I'm hoping they are here when I return!

Funny, I was thinking the same thing.
I guess I need to find a job and sell my Valkyrie. So much for retirement?

Cool, glad my post helped you make the decision. I just wanted to direct people to my post to get my rating without having to rewrite it. Let me know how you like the wear factor. If they last on your high speed truck they should last forever on my 25mph truck.

These tires won't see high speed on my truck. I will use them only for off-road use at very low speeds. I expect them to last longer than I will. My high speed tires are covered in another thread. See:

Good tires. Just another solid available option for mini truck owners looking for an aggressive off-road lug / traction capabilities. And Greg at GCT is a good guy to deal with - I've had many dealings with him in the past.

Question - where are your center caps for those SG Polished 5-Star Blings? :sly:
