I'm just wondering how many others out there have fully street legal mini trucks with reg'd plates? How many of you daily drive your trucks? I know there are a few of you out there... can we have a head count?? I know it seems pretty rare seeing that alot of people are having problems just getting them reg'd as ATVs but I'm positive I'm not the only one out there that drive's their trucks on the streets like a regular car.

Also what kind of mini truck do you have? I have 2 2wd Hijets. Both are registered.

I am kinda surprised there aren't more Wyoming people on here. They've been legal there for months now.
But just wait, in a few months there will be a lot more people from Oklahoma on the road. It is getting more publicity around here the closer we are getting to November.
More dealers popping up as well.

    We have street legal minis!

I live in Wyoming (Riverton) and there are 14 that are plated and registered here and we drive them every day and we are awaiting the arrival of seven more in mid October! It is a breeze to plate them and register them! My full coverage insurance is 65.00$ a year, yes a year!

    Hey there,

:) Its good to see/hear some Wyoming mini-truck drivers taking advantage of the little trucks! Its great.
Yes, I am hoping that Oklahoma's registration/tag/insuring process will make things go smoothly for all mini-truckers here as well.
I'm glad we don't have to try to jump through legal hoops to get a tag. It'll be out in the open and tag agency will know about the little trucks. (instead of doing like some and walking over to a tag agency with japanese export documents trying to convince them these things can be tagged!) :) Don't think that works too well for most people.

Well, great to hear from/about you!

My 1991 Mitsubishi Minicab is registered here in Maine. The dealer I bought it from already had it registered so it was easy to bring his registration to my town office and they just transferred the information over.

A call to Austin to verify what I was told via email has proven to be false. TXDOT has not reversed their decision to stop titling and revoking already titled and registered trucks.

    Hey canoebuildah,
I am new to this blog and just recently found out about these amazing trucks. I definitely see one of these in my future. I've gotta get rid of some of my water toys first though. Very interested in the fact that you have yours registered here in Maine. Also, you mentioned that the dealer that you bought it from had it registered. Could you tell me who that dealer was and where located. I would like to look at some of these but really don't want to travel to the middle of the country to do it (or Western Canada).
Any info you could give me would be very much appreciated. I am located in Northern Maine (close to the windmills). Thanks, Daverinme

93 zuki in Nova Scotia, 5 spd with EL 4X4. Great little truck! I drive it all the time, I bought it primarily for street use but it's a bunch of fun on the trails as well ;) Got a tach, a stereo and a lighter socket to install this weekend. Swapped all lube for full synthetic last week (right after I got her). Put the aluminum 12s off of my 88 Festiva on her... now she's lookin at least a little more "sexy" ;)
