Does anyone know where to find front hub/wheel bearings for a 91 subaru sambar. Thanks

I think they are somewhere behind the wheels. ;)

i repair a lot of odd-ball machinery, and more often than not i just go down to the local bearing house with a sample to match it up. they stock most sizes of timken style bearings and they usually have the grease seals too.

the place i deal with is called Bearing, Belt and Chain (guess what they sell?)... but they have drive belts and drive chains as well, it's realy a great resource when i don't want to deal with manufacturer import delays and mark-ups.

Yeah, minibrutes isn't smart enough to know he was being funny.

Thanks, LawnGC, I did picked some up at US Bearing.

Here are some part #'s and size for the front wheel bearings for a subaru sambar. Oddly enough they weren't behind the wheels at all, they were right in the middle.

    Wheel hub diameter

More info: Sambars circa 1991 need a rim with a bore hole of 59.1mm

This size is used by the Nissan Sentra, NX, Pulsar and 200SX yrs: late 80's thru late90's
There are both 13" and 14" dia rims available in these models.

Also for consideration is the Kia Spectra yrs: 94- on
These rims were also were available in 13" & 14" diameter

Note: ****Bore hole is only 56.1mm***** on these rims
so they will have to be machined to fit hub.

See post #24 by Tom's Mini Trucks for a fairly comprehesive list
of rim specs from oems that could fit this truck

Let's take a 1990 sentra rim-how does the offset compare to a stock Sambar wheel:confused:

  19. Timetripper

    Timetripper Moderator

Supposedly the stock rim is a 40mm offset, I say supposedly because the info were I got this was
wrong on the bore hole - it had it listed at 58mm and it is not for sure.
Just measured mine this a.m. Also the Kia rims I picked up are 45mm offset so I will see how this works,
at least I have the option of shimming them out to 40mm if needed.
I probably won't get the tires for awhile [$$$] so stay tuned for a update later on.

    Just a note---
bought the TB018 Bando Brand timing belt, and it crossed up to a T018 which is the wrong belt.
And yes the cross up may be incorrect,or the first # incorrect.
